Kamala Is the Presidential Favorite
Wall Street Journal ^ | 5/4/2026 | James Freeman

A new Harvard/Harris poll finds that former Vice President Kamala Harris has opened up a significant lead in the race for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination. Ms. Harris is the choice of 50% of Democrats surveyed, while her next closest competitor, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D., Calif.), gets the nod from just 22% of the donkeys. Bringing up the rear is a cast of characters each polling in single digits. Oddly, this new presidential polling momentum for Ms. Harris arrives just as some Democrats wonder out loud if she really should be running for governor of California.

From our perspective she’s beatable so yeah Go Kam! That said back in 2016 Hillary wanted Trump because she thought he was easily beatable too. Always be careful what one wishes for.

A new Harvard/Harris poll [???] finds...

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Given that gerrymandering map databases exist, it wouldn't be surprising if at least some polls are based on those maps which, if such is the case, strongly suggests (imo) that poll results can be rigged as easily as elections allegedly are.

Yes, why not? Her big mistake was not picking Karen Bass as VP - that would have shown the Trump racists who was boss! /s

Many voters aren't sentient. They are indoctrinated to do as they are told.

Correct so it's up to the DNC.

The last time that they had an actual primary election was way in 2008 when Obama beat Hillary.

Back in the day, James Bond could get 3 women in one movie but Emma Peel couldn’t. Nowadays Kamala can sleep her way to the top but Eric Swalwell has to drop out.

A good bit of it is just name recognition. She ran for president and people recognize her name and haven’t been exposed near as much to Newsom. The democrat presidential debates will be very entertaining.

Kamala is so stupid, i would much rather have her in the Oval Office than Gavin. Gavin is not stupid and he will legit do serious damage. And his wife, oh boy. She is a piece of work. Give me the moron Kamala any day of the week over Gavin.

Picking Bass would be an EPIC mistake.

The Constitution says that POTUS and VPOTUS cannot be from the same State.

They know they’re not going to win. They know why they’re not going to win. The more stable parts of what was once the Democrat party are perhaps trying to eliminate and shed the more insane part in order to attempt to rebuild the party for the future. Could be she’s being used the same way she was used last time, to launder and soak up campaign funds.

Back in the old days the instruction ‘freep this poll’ would have been a very viable threat to liberal opinion gathering efforts.

Does anyone else remember helping to wreck such dem projects???

This is the phase in the polling cycle where the prospective candidate with the greatest name recognition is named the favorite. That’s all.
