When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

Since you’re interested, KC, let me explain a tiny bit of why we need UNREP. Our Nuke super carriers have air wings as well as their little buddy escorts, all of which use a lot of stuff when they are in a theater. While the nuke carriers can operate for a quarter century by themselves, everybody else, including the crews need every kind of supply to keep operating. When a carrier is running flight operations it has to take on AV gas/ jet fuel about every four days. And the crews need fresh veggies, etc., every now and then. That’s why the supply ships follow them around and where UNREP comes into play. Since the ships don’t like to stop the idea is to resupply on the move. That, in turn, is where VERTREP comes into play, IE. using choppers to transfer the supplies on the move.
The operation of the supply ships is a rarely mentioned aspect of just how complex it is to keep a fleet operating at sea. And it helps one understand how we spend a billion dollars a day to keep 12 carrier groups in operation. And we used three just for Epic Fury.

Not a bit boring! I had a basic “understanding” that supply vessels must travel with our ships, but prior to Lone Palms question I didn’t realize the logistics involved. Thanks for the additional info!

Interesting boomer - we had similar in March in Northeast Ohio. And I heard it. And thought that it was an explosion. A deep, powerful boom, reminiscent of my sordid youth.
Turned out to be a meteor entering the atmosphere. Similar thing, sonic boom, the thing broke apart, and Joe Dirt’s entire family was in the county south of me looking for that magic meteor rock.
I’m late to the - well - not a party, but I extend my condolences to you for the loss of your cat. Pets are family. Dogs, Cats, other critters become family members. And when they pass, it is a loss.

My nuclear submarine lacked the nuclear fuel; Hildy promised she would supply it but she ended up selling it to Iran. sigh (just kidding... my naval experience is limited to drowning in New York harbor off of Staten Island in 1967 - because the sinking boat owner didn't tell us he had life preservers and being a land lubber, I didn't know to ask. I saved my wife and my dog and the Harbor Police said they had already estimated I would run out of energy in the cold water before they could get there. They were right.)
Be aware that Data Republican is very handicapped - deaf and mum, I think. She has to communicate ‘verbally’ through an interpreter. I think her writing skills are OK. I am really not too sure about her handicap, but it is a sad case - but she stays very involved in politics, does interviews, through her interpreter.
