US President Donald Trump on Sunday, April 12 harshly criticized Pope Leo XIV over the US-born pontiff’s remarks on Washington’s war in Iran before posting an AI-generated image portraying himself as Jesus performing a miracle reminiscent of biblical imagery.

This will get the left fired up. They can’t take a jab let alone a left hook.
Trump only sleeps a few hours a day. I doubt that anyone else posts on his truth social account. He does not create memes. He reposts them, however. He needs a filter.
His comments about the pope by Air Force One were entirely appropriate, but not the reposted meme. He never gains any new voters for Republicans with such posts, but he does lose voters.
Funny thing is ,Patton was right about everything.
Okay. Pope and pope and pope pix, white robe and red stole.

After all the whooping and a'hollering in comments, this fuss is so sadly funny. Ostensible conservatives, buying the "it's Jesus" identification game from the Lefties and the TDSers.
In the silly meme, white robed and red stoled just like the above Roman Catholic popes, there's no mention of Christianity per se. None. Statue of Liberty, check. Fighter jets, check. Eagles, check.
Time for the hysterics to subside. Just remember, the Democrats, Democrat Socialists of America, Liz Cheney and Robert Kagan would all -- ALL -- had given this nation a Harris-Walz administration.
One the red and white theme.....
Iran 47 years of terror and killing, and now the nuclear threat, have to stop.
I see the just war doctrine supports doing something about the continuing Iran mayhem and killing.
Overview of St. Augustine’s Just War Theory
St. Augustine of Hippo is recognized as a foundational figure in the development of just war theory. His ideas have significantly influenced Western philosophy and Christian ethics regarding warfare.
Key Principles of Just War Theory
Augustine’s just war theory is built on several core principles that outline when war can be considered morally justifiable:
Just Cause: War must be fought for a legitimate reason, such as defending the community or punishing wrongdoing.
Legitimate Authority: Only those in positions of authority, such as governments, can declare war. This aims to prevent conflicts initiated by individuals or small groups.
Right Intention: The intention behind waging war must be to achieve peace and justice, not for revenge or personal gain.
Last Resort: War should only be pursued after all other peaceful alternatives have been exhausted.
Proportionality: The harm caused by the war must be proportional to the good expected to be achieved.
Pray on it and you’ll understand...
My take on it as well.
You can interpret the comic anyway you want. Trump is not saying he's Jesus, but he IS using this post to aim criticism of a Pope who wants Iran to be free to have Nuclear weapons.
Trump is neither Jesus nor God, but his policies and firmness are bringing great peace, stability, and healing power to the world through his wise leadership. So the comic is fair game and you can interpret it anyway you want.
Pope Leo is the one who needs to be criticized. If it were up to him, the Crusades would have never risen up to oppose the invading armies of the Moslem world. Christianity would have been destroyed and the Vatican would have been ransacked.
This Pope is utterly destroying Catholicism.
No problem, the Pope has become a liberal politician and the result is entry into the political circus brings criticism from all corners.
Yup. And too often, we’re enablers.

Patton was a brilliant general. And he was right about a lot of things. But I have doubts about his desire to take Berlin. His tanks certainly could have beat the Soviets to the city. But the Red Army lost something like 100,000 men killed or badly wounded capturing Berlin.
Not worth that price to us, in IMHO. All it would have done is move the border of West Germany over a little to the east. And actually fight the Red Army? That would have been a bloodbath, even if we won.
Congress and the American people never would have stood for it.
I see it as respectful humor using a beautiful photograph. Disrespectful is the cross in urine.
We aren’t Muslims and there’s no prohibition against showing images. Once you show images, it’s open season on mimes and humor. When the images are funny, they’re respectful. When they’re nasty, they’re disrespectful.
Voting up all the commenters with good senses of humor.
By the time the Soviets had reached the outskirts of Berlin, the western front had collapsed. German troops were trying to find Americans in order to surrender.
I am amazed that people actually believe that the President knows how to edit videos and create AI slop. He has people for that. I also seriously doubt the President approves everything posted. In the executive suite, that is known as “assigning work to the CEO” and it is not allowed. You do your job and don’t bother him. It is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
Yes and go in the basement of the Vatican and count some gold it’ll keep him mind busy.
As a Protestant I am totally fine with Trump telling the pontiff to shove it because the Pope is nothing but a jumped-up rabbi, not God. My ancestors in Northern Europe fought wars and WON wars for the right to tell fat, aristocratic princes of the Church to shove their crosier up their backside.
Antipope Leo can make love make love to himself - roughly.

??????
You explained there's such a thing a Just War and that Saint Augustine of Hippo explained it to the world.
I'd also like for Pope Leo to reconcile his civilization destroying views with the common sense vision of St. Augustine and the Bible:
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

What religion is implied in the meme......if an allusion is made to Roman Catholic Popes? Buddhism or Judaism? There is no religious vacuum in this instance....__. Divinity is clearly implied in the meme.
It does not have to be explicit
Clearly all that was, was said to be elected.
Agreed. But Berlin was a special case. Hitler was holed up in the city, and was personally directing its defense. I don’t think the German defenders would just surrender to the advancing Americans (as was seen elsewhere).
Side note: Hitler’s Armaments Minister Albert Speer advised Hitler to stay in Berlin, rather than try to flee and then being hunted down like a dog.
After the war Speer regretted giving that advice. He said it was a huge mistake on his part. Had Hitler left Berlin when he could have, the city would have surrendered earlier. And many lives would have been saved.
