US President Donald Trump on Sunday, April 12 harshly criticized Pope Leo XIV over the US-born pontiff’s remarks on Washington’s war in Iran before posting an AI-generated image portraying himself as Jesus performing a miracle reminiscent of biblical imagery.

Agree fully. Moreover, unlike the "nation building" and whines about "reparations," things that get broken will be someone else's job to repay / rebuild.
---- "I also trust Trump's military leaders here. Pres DJT cannot do this without them. "
Agree again. This is not a job which one man does. It is for many to do.
Remember the folks at the beginning of President Trump's second term saying "he'd said he'd stop the war in a day?" While rhetoric of the political sort, some TDSers tried to make it into a binding contract.
And some even on these threads and most recently busy themselves with saying President Trump is somehow best bud" to Putin. Derangement syndrome....
Source as example:
"He's [ President Trump ] in complete denial that his best bud V. V. Putin would supply targeting info to Iran, even though 3 Russian 'spy' satellites pass over the area and Russia and Iran have a long standing defense pact."Does he [ President Trump ] just ignore intel briefings, or discount them, or is he just trying to shield best bud V. V. Putin?"
In President Trump and his administration ( espcially the military leaders ) we trust.
You can take your profane anti-Christ scoffing back to Hell where you found it. On a pro-God, pro-Bible forum no less.

The image, with light coming out of his hand, but fits the description.

Even if it is "only" depicting an apostle, it is still a sacrilegious spoof. Meanwhile, Pope liberal Leo warrants censure, even for his ostentatious costume and pomp.
Do you hold to your published sentence, "Republicans are all honorable men?"
See my comment above.
Do the objectors think he is illegitimately giving the sacrament of extreme unction? I
Not me. He would be healing him, which is actually what James 5:14,15 is about, yet Caths cite is as support for extreme unction, though it is usually a precursor of death.
Or, does the image depict the unseen spiritual battle that is taking place in a world where Satan continues to devour what is good?
No, that is quite an overreach. Leo is not a solution in that war anyway.
Is the objection because of the fact that Mary is not depicted?
Certainly not me, esp. not the Cath. Mary.
“Not found
This resource could not be found”
“Maybe a little too much. However, better than looking at any photograph/representation of the leftist, woke, evil pope.”
I agree. A “little” too much. He took it down.
How can anyone be really upset about this and not be aghast at the beliefs and actions of the new pope (same as the old pope)?
This Trump meme is a tempest in a stoup.
Do you honestly believe he knows about a FB post?
So you think the ironic mischief will do the deed on this forum? "Now let it work. Mischief, thou art afoot...."
In 2017 courtesy of Brutus and friends....

You just lied your a$$ off. There isn't a single profanity in my post to you. There is NOTHING anti-Christ in my post to you. I'm sure you consider yourself a "Good Christian". Clearly you still need a tissue sweetypie. Hate on.
With such a lack of framing, "Republicans" could mean those like Romney, Cassidy and of course Cheney, on the one hand, and "Republicans" like President Trump and J.D. Vance on the opposing side.
If you're a Shakespeare fan / scholar, you might enjoy "Upstart Crow" made some years back by the BBC.
Dude, I’ve been posting here for almost 30 years. If my goal is “ironic mischief” I probably would have been zotted long ago. If memory serves, my present tagline was a reference to Republicans like Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell and yes, meant very ironically.
First, I almost took your name off the reply (#132) and my list of rhetorical questions because I didn’t want you to think I was challenging you. But now I am.
Second, this image is full of ambiguities. No one can say for certain what or who is being portrayed. In the absence of this, I do not necessarily consider the picture to be “blasphemous”. And BECAUSE there is so much ambiguity, it would have been better if the picture had never been posted by the President.
Third, your “comment above” post reference does not tell me your opinion of WHO is being anointed by the President. I still don’t know. I don’t think it is Chuck Connors or that Jeffery Epstein.
Fourth, “healing” is your opinion. There’s no evidence that the man (”whoever” it is...) is alive, close to death, or even asleep. No way to tell if it is a depiction of healing, anointing of oil, laying on of hands, last rites, or something else.
Fifth, you ought to remember that I have NO REGARD WHATSOEVER for Catholicism, its minions, its dogmas, its traditions, or its practices.
Sixth, There most certainly IS a spiritual battle taking place (I KNOW you KNOW this - you are engaged in it every day). And (based on “fifth” above) you must know that I firmly believe that the “Pope” is the enemy of God. Never did I consider the “Pope” to be the “solution” to the battle - (except in the same way that Pharaoh was used to accomplish God’s purpose - a very real possibility.)
Finally, I added the “Mary” question just to make the thread longer. Eventually, I want to remind Catholics once again that Mary is not the “mother of God”, that she was not assumed into heaven, that she was a sinner who needed a Savior, that she had other children, and that she in not their intercessory to God. ;^)
Bottom line - I erred by addressing #132 to you. I should have removed your name. I thought the sarcasm and rhetoric would have made my intentions clear.
Intent matters.
If he’s intending to portray himself as Christ, then that’s bad and he needs to repent. If he intends to portray himself as God’s servant, well, that’s something else.
Having said that, Trump is a heckuvalot closer to God’s will right now than Catholicism has been for a long, long time.
Did he post this personally or did a staffer? Either way, maybe Melania should supervise.
—— “If my goal is ‘ironic mischief’....” The quote is from the play, as the play is the thing.
