This actually happened in a parking garage nearby, not at the burger joint. Most reports say the two events were unrelated, but……..
You know how the area around schools are supposed to be “Gun Free Zones”? The area around a Nipsey Hussle restaurant is a Gun Violence Zone.

The deadly thug influence continues. After all these years.
I like that. It should be required. Especially on MLK Blvd. at 2:00am.
Not me. That's Hussle not Russell.
That guy used to crack me up. So did Slappy White.
Well now, if you can remember Slappy White, then you probably also remember Moms Mabley, somewhat similar to
“Mad” Maxine Walters, but w/o any dentures.
Tipsey Hustle.
Late rappers begat more lateness. Not surprised
Good ole Moms!
Seems like advertising the food place is more important than the killing for some reason.
For that area Id say “What else is knew”
Nor am I.
I miss those days.
Don’t forget Flip Wilson.
Flip was a lot of fun. and very successful on TV.
My family would watch him, then Carol Burnett after that.
Nipsey Russell was a good comedian back in the day. Seems like they tried to co-opt his reputation for their restaurant with a sound-alike name.
I still remember a joke he made about white people using a tanning product called Man Tan. He said he’d start using “Yellow Fellow” and meet us halfway!
