Tensions have been high in Minnesota, particularly after the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) recent announcement that they’d be sending 2,000 ICE officers to the state.
After the January 7 shooting that killed a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis, Governor Tim Walz responded in a press conference, calling for protestors to remain calm, and rejecting any further federal law enforcement be sent to the Twin Cities.
“I have a very simple message, Walz said, “We do not need any further help from the federal government. To Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, you’ve done enough.”
DHS Secretary Noem herself held two separate press conferences regarding the shooting, in both cases calling the driver’s actions a case of domestic terrorism. In response to calls for ICE officers to leave the state, Noem said her agency is simply enforcing laws that are on the books, and pointed to figures from recent operations.
“Since we have been here in recent weeks, we have arrested over 1,500 criminals off of the streets. Our law enforcement has arrested murderers, known and suspected terrorists, child pedophiles, and other brutal criminals that were protected here in this city. We should all work together to protect our citizens,” Secretary Noem said.
The governor called ICE operations a threat to public safety.
“What we’re seeing is the consequences of governance designed to generate fear, headlines, and conflict,” Walz said.
During the press conference, he took time to address protestors, whose anger he said he sympathized with, but called for them to remain peaceful, warning them against actions that could result in a further federal response.
“Do not take the bait,” Walz cautioned, “Do not allow them to deploy federal troops into here. Do not allow them to invoke the Insurrection Act..."

Feds to Walz: We’re just getting started fatso.
Just like Ashley Babbitt’s murder was orchestrated by the left on J6
This death was also ,
Ashley was murdered by a preplanned shooting, this suicide was accomplished with readily available leftist stupidity.
I bet money changed hands.
Check who put in go f me pat on the backs.
I watched that press conference and just sat there thinking “He is going to start some serious sh*t with those threats.”
Worst part of it is the NG is made up of locals, many of which joined for college and will be easily swayed by Walz in thinking resisting is both allowed and encouraged. Noting that a big group are being called up anyway for their training schedule, then having the NG officer there as a YES man nodding agreement to his threats has set a incredibly dangerous precedence.
Walz is trying to look strong now that he is scared of what the future might hold for him. If he resists strongly and has the support of the left wing loon citizens in his state then when he faces charges for the money scandals his first vigorous defense will be “This is all political payback for standing up to Trump and a complete charade to besmirch my good name!”
Just watch, it’s coming.
It is one matter if you wish to protest or petition for a change in laws.
But when you are interfering in the enforcement of those laws, you are subject to arrest for aiding and abetting criminals.
I fully agree with Tampon Tim. We have done enough.
To the people of Minnesota, your flamboyantly useless governor, Tampon Tim Walz told the rest of the United States “we’ve had enough.” I completely agree, we’ve had enough. As of today, all federal law enforcement is leaving Minnesota. In addition, all elements of any federal office are also closing and transferring operations out of the state of Minnesota. You’ve had enough and we’re taking you up on the offer. We’re gone. All payments of any federal aid are cancelled effective immediately. You’re on your own. Thank you for your attention to this matter. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.
Hey, I can dream can’t I?
The truth is out there…. (Cue “The X-Files” theme music)
One of her “poems” has been posted. Title mentions something about “dissecting feral pigs”
Seems to be freeform...reads like the utterances of a schizophrenic on xanax, and alcohol, recorded on digital device, and random words chosen to be written down.
If her death wasn’t a sad, prime example of the myriad ways people get themselves in dangerous situations (like subway surfers) and die, her poem would make anybody feel concerned about her sanity. Even Jim Croce knew “you don’t mess around with Jim.”
@GovTimWalz
Tampon Timmy - are you saying you haven’t killed enough innocents or stolen enough money yet? Give the Feds a chance to go after the bad guys and stop the fraud....
No Tampon Timmy, you have done enough! Time to go.
It would be nice if they took her phone into evidence, I’m sure there’s lots of video from the day to demonstrate they were busy trying to create a problem.
Karen Carpenter singing "We've Only Just Begun", was my first thought after reading this.
I am still not willing to cede any part of our nation to communists.
Re evidence:
She was doing these same things impeding, blocking, etc, all day apparently and the girlfriend was filming it.
Feds would need to seize the GF’s phone, because I guarantee the corrupt local mayor is already trying to make it disappear.
I think the Somalians, state bureaucrats, and politicians have done enough. When a group robs the bank for $18 Billion, the federal law enforcement will arrive to the scene of the crime.
What is the precedent? How did President Lincoln handle Insurrection?
I bet the video is in the cloud..
Once there, it’ll be hard to make it go away.
Walz needs to understand that he & many citizens have still not gotten the message.
Re “ hard to make it go away”
For folks like you and me… Yes
For embedded communist deep state moles, not so much.
That’s why these things should be downloaded over and over and over again as quickly as possible.
