Just wondering if any other Freepers are spending this Christmas Eve solo. Just my trusty greyhound and me here, settled in for a relaxing evening with a latte, Ralphie Parker and George Bailey.
Anyone else flying solo tonight?

Not alone, but a whole lot quieter than it used to be. Five of six kids are out of the house. The youngest is home from college, and the 2nd youngest lives nearby, so she and her husband have been in and out.
I hope you manage to find some joy in the season, even if it’s the joy of memories.
I was at a Christmas service and they had some food and drinks after. I forgot and had a regular coffee so I may be up most of the night tonight inadvertently.

So very sorry. My husband and I are celebrating our 43rd this year. He is battling Stage 4 lung cancer. We went to church this afternoon for a Christmas service and spending tomorrow with our younger son and his family. Praying it’s not our last Christmas with my husband.
One more thing to add - my daughter’s greyhound is here, and I’d be glad to donate him to keep your dog company. The obnoxious beast drives me up as wall. (He’s less than a year old, and thinks he’s a lap dog.)

Greyhounds are the sweetest, most gentle and loving creatures on earth. But, they can be demanding when it comes to play.
Wife’s in hospital so it’s just me and 3 pups. So no, not completely alone.

At this moment I am alone but I am expecting visitors. Three ghosts at separate times to show me around the neighborhood at different time periods. I can hardly wait.

I am not quite alone. But feeling it too.
I am having a solemn and prayerful night.
I have my Dad in home hosparus here in my tiny living room with me, and I have been camping out here as well, being watchful and tending.
His little doggies on the hospital bed with him.
I have “It’s a Wonderful Life “ on tv. My favorite Christmas movie. He doesn’t really see or hear it much. So it is mostly for me. Then Christmas and Country music most of the time.
