On April 30, 1945, I left the barracks early to have breakfast with the Mosers. I was fortunate enough to be the only prisoner there that got to eat with the family, but on the way, there was three black cars came back with guards on 'em, and of course my heart was beating pretty fast. I was concerned that they was sitting there with guns and I was unprotected, but they paid no attention to me. First car goes by and just a driver and the guards on top. Second car just about even with me, and the one in front stopped and it stopped, and there sit Adolf Hitler.
He wasn't more than five or six feet from me. He was in the car. ... and there were three small planes had landed in a pasture some 200 yards away and and the three cars go down near them. I see three people go over, and get in the planes they had new ladders to help him get up... the planes took off one after another and I didn't see them any more.
...at the Mosers there was a lot of excitement, and Miss Moser told me the Fuhrer spent the night with Mr. Pullen, and Mr. Pullen was a wealthy man in town and had known Adolf Hitler before that in their earlier life sometime. So it was a quite a day for the people in New Store, and Miss Moser was protective of me, and she didn't want me outside. She was afraid that I might get shot or something. So, I asked for a piece of paper, and and I wrote a note to the military authorities that Hitler's spent a night with Mr. Pullen, and they'd left in small planes.

Dittos. Either he died in Berlin or he escaped to South America where he hid like a coward and was not heard from again. Either way he was defeated.
Nonetheless this stuff is still fascinating to ponder.
Hunting Hitler was an interesting 2 season series investigating this theory and .declassified gov files. There were numerous reports of sightings detailing a possible route to Argentina.
Idk if it happened, but it certainly was possible.

I’ve read that as well. It gave Stalin a propaganda card to play, if need be:
“Hitler escaped with the aid of the corrupt, capitalist West. It shows just how evil they are.”

Honest to God. What a bunch of hooey. If memory serves it was not uncommon for Hitler and other leaders to have doubles.

Sure, they had doubles, but why would Hitler’s body double be in tiny Nussdorf am Inn after Hitler was supposed to have killed himself? To fool one American POW? More likely, the body double was sent to the bunker so Hitler could escape. The Nazis planned Hitler’s escape the way the Secret Service plans transferring POTUS to a bunker. They had a detailed plan, and they followed it, complete with fake forensic evidence like X-Rays and dental records. There were enough dead corpses around to find one about Hitler’s build and say it was him. All the Nazi loyalists said Hitler killed himself, and they all told the exact same story, which they rehearsed to hide their fuhrer.

Channel 4 produced a two-part documentary titled "Hitler’s DNA: Blueprint of a Dictator" explores the genetic analysis of Adolf Hitler, revealing insights into his health and potential genetic disorders. Geneticist Dr. Turi King, who sequenced the DNA of King Richard III whose body was recovered from his grave in a parking lot in Leeds, led the DNA sequencing of Hitler's DNA.
Researchers Say They Have Verified and Sequenced Hitler's DNA
I dowloaded both episodes of the program via a British torrent site and watched it. It's pretty convincing as they matched blood on a material swatch taken by a WWII American soldier from the couch/settee Hitler is supposed to have shot himself on, with a Hitler relative. It matched 100%. The material design matches the design on the couch/settee in a photo taken after the bunker was entered. The swatch itself was found at a relic shop in Gettysburg, Pa.
What Hitler’s DNA reveals, and what the documentary says it can’t explain
"The analysis is based on a swatch of fabric stained with blood that a U.S. soldier cut from the couch upon which Hitler shot himself. The researchers were able to confirm without a doubt that the blood came from Hitler by comparing the DNA found in it to DNA previously confirmed to have come from one of his relatives."

Gehlen went on to run Konrad Adenauer's intelligence office in West Germany. He was forced to resign in 1968 when a German spy he had hired turned out to be a Russian mole.
The CIA also hired Klaus Barbie, known as "The Butcher of Lyon." They moved him and his family to South America. When French officials asked the CIA about Barbie's whereabouts, they lied and said they had no idea where he was. He remained on the CIA's payroll until it became an embarrassment for the agency. Nazi Hunters Beate and Serge Klarsfeld had discovered Barbie in Bolivia, and raised a big stink about it. Barbie was arrested in 1983 and turned over to French authorities, tried and convicted in 1987. France had gotten rid of its death penalty some time before, so he was sentenced to prison. He died in 1991 at 77 years of age of Leukemia.

The Russians entered Berlin first and took control of the Bunker. From what I understand, the American military had to get permission from the Russian’s to enter the bunker.
One question: If thousands of Nazis managed to escape to South America, why wouldn't the most powerful Nazi of all have had an escape plan?
Despite being dumped by JFK at the advice of RFK, who served on the Taylor Committee to investigate the Bay of Pigs fiasco, Dulles was alive until 1969. He could have taken both Kennedys out. I began to think that was a possibility after reading: "Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA" by Tim Weiner. I just ordered a used copy of "The Devil’s Chessboard" from Amazon. Both Dulles brothers were a-holes. The CIA is the way it is because of Allen Dulles running it exactly the way he wanted, without interference from anyone. And even with Congressional oversight, the CIA is still a corrupt, criminal organization.
