Seeing undeniably strong evidence of Leftist advocacy in answering science-related research. For example, ask a question about whether or not human-caused climate change is an existential threat ... you’re in for a SHOCK at what AI spits out.

I believe in the potential value of AI; but it’s not going to be an easy thing and we have to do it carefully and thoughtfully. As necessary as I see development of AI, I greatly fear rushing into it.

Many AI scientists, including Musk, Wozniak, Bengio, signed an open letter a couple of years ago calling for a six month pause in development. They felt we needed some time to figure this whole thing out and come up with some standards and ‘guard rails’. I can’t help but believe that they had seen things that caused them concern:

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday aimed at blocking states from crafting their own regulations for artificial intelligence, saying the burgeoning industry is at risk of being stifled by a patchwork of onerous rules while in a battle with Chinese competitors for supremacy.

Bull!

There'll be some states that will just CLAMOR for these things!

Besides...

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) to the United States Constitution, a part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.[1] It expresses the principle of federalism, whereby the federal government and the individual states share power, by mutual agreement. The Tenth Amendment prescribes that the federal government has only those powers delegated to it by the Constitution, and that all other powers not forbidden to the states by the Constitution are reserved to each state, or to the people.

If the FEDS want these so badly, then there is already PLENTY of ‘federal’ land on which to plant them!

nope

Both (either) make ‘decisions’ based on inputted data.

One uses established patterns of the past, and the other uses...

...established patterns of the past.

The search engines were made less effective as Google which is the clearinghouse do yo speak for all search engines in a bid for more revenue varied to match results with personalization... a total failure and to boost listing for income.. thus ending the original search number based dsearches.

Which AI, Where?

There are many different kinds of AI. One that you found that ‘polly parrots’ something it has grabbed from the Web doesn’t represent all AIs.

Town land was sold to the developer. The citizens had no say.

If you think the country, states, cities, counties, or towns are functioning in any sort of semblance of a democratically run republic you just haven’t been paying attention.

The same processes that landed millions of Somalis living off of American citizens is at play.

The search engines were made less effective...

Based on what metric?

you think that towns are self governing, don’t you.

I will try to send you a copy of what is going on in a larger town in our area so you can see the takeovers.

“not all knowledge is on the Web or Internet.”

The (False) assumption of AI is 1) all useful data and info (processing of data) is on the internet. and
2) Any data or info that is not on the internet is not useful and can be ignored.
3) Humans decide criteria of AI, what to classify and how to classify it. EG SPLC Southern Poverty Law Center is classified as FACTUAL by humans who set AI Policy. But the Bible stories are not classified as FACTUAL but are classified in legends by AI.

AI makes mistakes. Humans make mistakes.
We accept and operate on the basis that Humans make mistakes.
We run the danger of accepting AI hallucinations and AI bias due to the way it is programmed as if AI is infallible.

AI could be a useful tool if its limits are understood.
