“The soldiers’ names, as well as identifying information about their units, are being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin notification,” he continued. “This attack is currently under active investigation.”

Police were conducting a massive manhunt Saturday night at Brown University in Rhode Island after a man dressed in black opened fire on students in an engineering school building classroom.
Two students are dead, eight victims are in critical but stable condition at a hospital and a ninth student was wounded with shrapnel, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley said.
Smiley said FBI Director Kash Patel and President Donald Trump had offered the full resources of the federal government.
The university remained on lockdown more than five hours after the shooting as police had not identified or located the suspect
Authorities said at least 400 police officers from local, state and federal agencies had joined the manhunt and the probe.
Police said they have video footage of the suspect leaving the shooting scene and believe he may be a male in his 30s but do not yet know his identity or the weapon he used.
The University and President Donald Trump initially stated that a suspect was in custody, though school officials subsequently clarified that the suspect was still at large, according to the Associated Press.

New data shows that in the state of New York, a self-designated sanctuary state, illegal immigrants make up only 3.38% to 4.15% of the state’s population. Yet, when compared to the number of illegals who are incarcerated, they are overrepresented in prison and jail populations by a factor of roughly 3 to 4 times.
Furthermore, the Empire State has, according to the Department of Homeland Security, released 6,947 illegal immigrants since January 20 of this year, while still holding roughly 7,100 such individuals in its prisons and jails. These incarcerated illegal aliens account for approximately 14% of the total prison population of approximately 50,803, despite comprising only 3.20% to 3.38% of the state’s overall population of about 19.99 million.
The released 6,947 illegal immigrants were convicted of severe offenses, including 29 homicides, 2,509 assaults, 199 burglaries, 305 robberies, 392 dangerous drug offenses, 300 weapons offenses, and 207 sexual predatory crimes.
Meanwhile, the current inmates with active ICE detainers include 148 convicted of homicide, 717 for assaults, 134 for burglaries, 106 for robberies, 235 for dangerous drugs, 152 for weapons offenses, and 260 for sexual predatory acts.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has characterized these individuals as encompassing “hundreds of murderers, hundreds of sexual predators, drug traffickers, the worst of the worst.”

Aherne is originally from Massachusetts and is homeless, law enforcement told the outlet. The victim had been shopping with her husband as well as the 10-month-old baby when the attack occurred. It also found that the state’s Department of Motor Vehicle’s systems defaulted to issuing 8-year licenses to foreign drivers for non-REAL ID licenses, regardless of when their legal status expired.
“When more than half of the licenses reviewed were issued illegally, it isn’t just a mistake—it is a dereliction of duty by state leadership,” Duffy said in a statement. “Gov. [Kathy] Hochul must immediately revoke these illegally issued licenses. If they refuse to follow the law, we will withhold federal highway funding. This administration will never stop fighting to keep you and your family safe on our roads.”

federal judge on Friday prohibited immigration officials from detaining Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a day after the court ordered his release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.
Abrego Garcia’s lawyers asked the judge to block authorities from detaining him again, as he was appearing Friday morning for a scheduled appointment at an ICE field office, The Associated Press reported.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis in Maryland, an Obama appointee, said that officials cannot re-detain him until the court conducts a hearing on the motion for the temporary restraining order.

Anew bill protecting children was introduced this week by U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, called the National Educator Safety and Accountability Act of 2025.
It aims to protect, prevent and respond to educator sexual misconduct in schools.
The legislation would establish a National Educator Misconduct and Discipline Registry to track offenders and create a federal task force on educator sexual misconduct. Hunt presented the bill Tuesday to the House of Representatives.
Studies state 10% of children experience sexual misconduct or grooming by a school employee before graduation. That’s around 5.2 million and 9.4 million U.S. public school students. This misconduct can result in lifelong consequences; negative physical, psychological and academic outcomes.
There are no systems that exist to prevent employees dismissed for misconduct from moving to new districts undetected, according to Hunt.

UNRWA is the United Nations agency that is devoted solely to the care and feeding of those who are so-called Palestinian refugees, but in reality, most of the real refugees from the 1948 war died long ago, and the Palestinian Arabs whom UNRWA supports are their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. The status of “Palestinian refugee” has become an inherited trait, and their numbers can only increase inexorably, with more births than deaths each year. Meanwhile, all other refugees around the world are treated by a single U.N. agency, the High Commissioner for Refugees. And none of those refugees can pass on that refugee status to their descendants.

UNRWA has long been a malevolent enterprise. Its schoolbooks are full of antisemitic venom, that it refuses to remove despite constant promises to do so. It has allowed its schools in Gaza to be used by Hamas to hide its weapons, its combatants, and in some cases, its Israeli hostages. UK: Muslim migrant slits man’s throat for playing loud music
AN “eerily-calm” migrant knifed two neighbours he accused of playing loud music and mocking him for not having a job.
Adam Ahmed stabbed Leon Askew in the neck then walked upstairs and knifed Robert Graham at the multi-lodge property.
They hid with pals and later needed surgery.
They said Ahmed, 30, was eerily calm and had barely spoken to them before the June attacks.
Newcastle crown court heard Ahmed made three complaints about noise, saying cops did nothing.
He fled war-torn Sudan in 2013, stayed in Libya, Italy and France, got here “by car” and has spent five years in Sunderland.
He was found guilty of attempted murder and wounding with intent. Sentencing is next month….
Oh, and by the way, Islam forbids music except a cappella nasheeds, that is, songs exhorting the believers to wage jihad.

In Germany, new data from the Federal Criminal Police Force has been reported that convincingly exposes the staggering rate of violent criminality among Muslim migrants, and especially among those who came from Afghanistan and. Syria as “asylum seekers.” Now the wars in both countries have ended, and there is no longer any reason for these migrants, who claimed to be from fleeing wars, not to now be returned home. 163 out of 100,000 German residents were recorded for a violent crime.
For Syrians, this is over 1,000 percent higher, reaching 1,740 per 100,000.
For Afghans, this figure is 1,722 per 100,000….
Though five countries together accounted for most of the criminals, it is the nationals of Afghanistan and Syria who have by far committed most of the crimes.

Although Africa is virtually invisible in the Western media, wars over its natural resources, as well as over international interests, are proliferating.
Countries in the Sahel such as Mali (as well as Burkina Faso and Niger) “which have distanced themselves from traditional partners like France and the European Union (EU), have increasingly engaged Turkey for military cooperation, arms deals and mining partnerships, particularly in gold and energy sectors.” This is troubling news considering the expansionist nature of Turkey; whereas the West is lax regarding enforcement of its own borders, let alone paying attention to the jihad’s expansion globally.

A coalition of liberty-minded lawmakers led by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is escalating its fight to close what they call one of Washington’s most dangerous surveillance loopholes: the federal government’s ability to buy Americans’ private data from commercial brokers without a warrant.
The lawmakers are pressing legislation and oversight demands that would require a warrant before any federal agency can purchase location data, browsing histories, app data, or other sensitive personal information—data that agencies often cannot legally obtain directly.
Supporters say the reform is simple and constitutional: if the government needs a warrant to seize your data, it shouldn’t be able to buy the same data with taxpayer dollars.
