Okra is part of the food pyramid in Texas. Southern breaded and fried okra or as a thickener in gumbo. I love okra.

I suggest a curry preparation or a tika masala style.
Check the webz for recipes.

Scored one of these many moons ago. Comes with instructions. Wing side up for a certain period of time. Flip to the other wing side. Flip breast down. Finish with breast up. Seemed to work.

You’ve never eaten okra? You’re not from the south are you? That’s OK, but know there are only 2 ways to cook okra.
1. In a gumbo
2. Fried.
The other day, my wife used the air fryer to fry okra. It turned out really, really good. There are recipes online; find one and try it out.

I have a simple wild rice neck stuffing recipe is anyone want’s it.
Kinda prep-fussy but includes hot sausage and mushrooms.
And, of course, butter.

Cook with onions and peppers in a skillet until it gets slimy. Put it in a pyrex dish and sprinkle in parmesan cheese. Bake it until it isn’t slimy. Some people add Italian bread crumbs or corn meal/flour

I’m from a Virginia family, but was just never been presented with okra. (I’ve seen fried recipes for fresh okra that looked good.)

I’ve never had it! Do you eat it whole or clean out any seeds?

Okra is apparently very nutritious, while also being rather low in calories and carbs.

We host Thanksgiving here, my wife’s family likes salmon and pea salad so they mix it up and eat it. Even the smell is horrible and the taste is just about unGodly.
