We apparently are not on a roll with some kind of conservative momentum. Leftist Democrats of the worst kind made inroads into political power yesterday.
— NYC elects a radical Muslim. — Virginia threw out all reason and elected radical leftists to the Governorship and Attorney General, who had made violent threats. — Democrats flipped two red seats in MS breaking the Republican supermajority. — in my neck of the woods, Texas senate district 9 is going to a run-off after a DEM bested two Republicans for a plurality of votes.
This was surprising as the polling place I revisited was packed to the gills in an off-off-year election in a conservative area. Overall, there were no spectacular Republican victories to make inroads into Democrat comtrol. I don’t think this bodes ill for the 2026 mid-terms.
The Democrats were effectively in organizing.
Trump will do his part next year with the UFC fight at the White House and then the convention before the Midterms.
You got it.
I sure hope they are looking at this.
I never take one...and say....I’m not 5 years old...
Nah. It was an expected outcome. The only true surprise was Jones.
Now, this does inform us that we must WORK HARD in 2026.
Not really. Section § 24.2-643 of the VA election code provides: "Except as provided in subsection E, any voter who does not show one of the forms of identification specified in this subsection shall be allowed to vote after signing a statement, subject to felony penalties for false statements pursuant to § 24.2-1016, that he is the named registered voter he claims to be."
So they can show up with no identification whatsoever, sign a statement that they're who they say they are, and then get a ballot that will go through the voting machine. This was enacted the last time Dims controlled VA. Now that the Dims are firmly in control again, you can bet the election laws will be loosened up even more.
LOL- this bodes ill for 2016??? LOL- why?? Did Republicans lose in states and areas they lost one year ago???
The only person i feel bad for is Scott Pressler- who broke his ass in NJ...
I don’t think its about the politics. Tucker Carlson predicted this after Trump won in 2016. Ray Dalio the hedge fund billionaire predicts a revolution. If politicians do not correct the fundamental disparity in our economy then elections are going to swing back far to the left. The gap between middle and low income households reflected by inflation when compared to the top echelons has only gotten worse. The stock market is at an all time high yet the Fed is cutting interest rates with inflation at “3 percent and growing” and we know the reality is much worse. We continue to fund and participate in foreign wars rather than building our own infrastructure. It’s not Trump’s fault and he has done a great job on immigration but if people can’t afford to pay for McDonalds or groceries anymore, which was a thread over the weekend on here then I don’t think it bodes well for the midterms. Why would kids vote for people that offer them minimum wage jobs where they cannot afford to eat when houses cost a million dollars. You’d be stupid not to opt for the free money versus being abused at a minimum wage job.
I am not surprised in the results in the blue states but I am disappointed in the margin of victories for Sherrill (56.2%) and the retention of the 3 PA corrupt Supreme Court judges (about 61%).
Trump voters did not show up yesterday and our side failed to educate PA voters about the PA Supreme Court judges.
I would have a suggestion that might work better for NYC’s mayoral race. NYC is a big place & has 5 boroughs, so why not a different mayor for each borough? Give the cities folks a wider choice & they could compare & see where mistakes were made each election. They sure made a big one this time. I wonder how long it will be before they recognize it?
Whatever President Trump hopes to accomplish must be done with great haste, the possibility of’26 elections must be expected.
If we do well in 2026, fine but the President must act with the expectation that the MAGA agenda will be hard pressed to put into action after the election.
Remember the 48% rule. 48% of this country is immoral, stupid, or brainwashed. It only takes 3% or less of rinos or independents to crossover and we are doomed. Be thankful Trump is our bulwark for the next 3 years!
Major news outlets continue to demonize conservatives and Christians with impunity while lionizing godless democrats. Most of our nation's college and university systems are controlled by leaders and teachers who are democrats. Foreign and domestic money that supports democrats is vast. Add to these is the problem that too many conservatives and moderates don't show up to vote.
You have no idea how vast the system is. Look at precinct turnout in urban areas, it is virtually impossible to get those numbers. I voted in one and the place was empty but they had 85% turnout and this was before early voting.
This how empires die. Bread and circuses.
None of the results would mean it was a bad night—if we had won New Jersey.
However we got crushed there—under-performing all polls by a huge margin.
The numbers themselves are one disaster.
The fact that our team’s “pros” did not see it coming is an equally big disaster.
And we know exactly who they are and what they stand for.
Refusing to pull backing from a psychotic who said he wanted to kill his opponent AND HIS CHILDREN and piss on their graves.
Backing a full-throated muslim communist.
It doesn’t get any worse than that.
Mississippi lost their super-majority legislature to Democrat seats. MISSISSIPPI!
You lose your shit over stuff like that. Alarm is sometimes the best remedy to wake us up.
