I don’t think its about the politics. Tucker Carlson predicted this after Trump won in 2016. Ray Dalio the hedge fund billionaire predicts a revolution. If politicians do not correct the fundamental disparity in our economy then elections are going to swing back far to the left. The gap between middle and low income households reflected by inflation when compared to the top echelons has only gotten worse. The stock market is at an all time high yet the Fed is cutting interest rates with inflation at “3 percent and growing” and we know the reality is much worse. We continue to fund and participate in foreign wars rather than building our own infrastructure. It’s not Trump’s fault and he has done a great job on immigration but if people can’t afford to pay for McDonalds or groceries anymore, which was a thread over the weekend on here then I don’t think it bodes well for the midterms. Why would kids vote for people that offer them minimum wage jobs where they cannot afford to eat when houses cost a million dollars. You’d be stupid not to opt for the free money versus being abused at a minimum wage job.

Covid and a couple years of high inflation under Biden did some damage. Inflation went up ~15% over a 2 year period and has has been bouncing around 3% for the last couple of years. I doubt very many workers have received +20% pay raises over that period of time.
