This is the definition of fiddling around and finding out.
VIDEO AT LINK..................
Here's more from KTLA 5:
The victim, who did not want to be identified, told responding deputies that a man in a dark-colored sedan was driving down the street at a high rate of speed when he suddenly stopped the vehicle near the location where he and his girlfriend had been walking.
The mugger jumped out of the car, gun in hand, and told the walker to give up his Rolex watch. He refused and then went for the gun.
Patrick McCloskey was working from home when he heard a woman screaming from the sidewalk.
'The chaos was so intense, I didn't know who jumped who,' he explained. 'I ran to the door to see what was happening. At that point, I hear her yell, "Get the gun, get the gun!"'
...
'But he didn't know that the guy was a retired wrestler,' McCloskey told KTLA's John Fenoglio. 'So, he was able to get the gun off the guy and wrestle him down.'
Dude brought a gun to a fist fight and still lost miserably!
He definitely picked the wrong guy to try and mug, that's for sure.
The victim, according to the WeHo resident, showed no mercy as the attempted robber struggled.
'At one point, the guy's arm got dislocated, and he just held him down,' he said.
Dude must have learned to fight at Cobra Kai!
Or maybe Rex Kwon Do!
In footage of the incident, the victim is heard telling a deputy that he took the gunman's wrist and put the man on the ground before taking the gun away. As his girlfriend threw the gun over a nearby fence, the retired wrestler held the suspect down until law enforcement arrived.
The suspect was arrested.
But it's Los Angeles, so I'm thinking there's a better-than-decent chance he'll be back on the street in, oh, say five or six minutes.
A guy I worked with was a very good high school wrestler. He told me his uncle was a pro wrestler. My acquaintance was trash talking his uncle. The uncle told his nephew to put him in a hold. The nephew complied. Uncle asked him if he were ready, and promptly reversed the hold and pinned his nephew.
Hulk Hogan was 6’7” and 300,
Jesse Ventra is 6’2” 245
Roddy Piper was 6’2” and 230
Steve Austin was 6’2” and 250
Fritz Von Erich was 6’4 and 260
David Von Erich was 6’6” and 230
Pro wrestling might be fake and have a script. But run up and try to go hand to hand with any of them and you have one HELL of a problem on your hands...
They are big, fast, athletes, and very have pain tolerance.... and they love to go at it.
Even fake fighting is still fighting.
Woooooooooo!😎
“The victim, according to the WeHo resident, showed no mercy as the attempted robber struggled. ‘At one point, the guy’s arm got dislocated, and he just held him down,’ he said.”
LOL... can’t stop laughing. wonder if that dislocated arm feels “fake”.
Tyrus is another... 6’7” and 375. Go ahead street urchin, try to take his Rolex away.
No, place it on the ground and stand with a foot on it. If it was used in the attempted robbery, stashing is monumentally self-incriminating.
Last week my man Baron von Raschke turned 85. Fear The Claw!
Too bad the wrestler didn’t take the opportunity to demonstrate various wrestling moves for his girlfriend.
“Now watch, this is the Atomic Drop.”
But it’s Los Angeles, so I’m thinkin....hired as a consultant on a low budget flick.

The reporter said “fighter”, not “wrestler”. I didn’t recognize his voice (my mutant ability) but noticed he was still young with a bit of a gut - and sporting a Rolex in L.A.? MMA guy for sure.
Wrestlers are cautious about “bling” because of traveling so much and having to trust strange facilities for securing their property while they work. None living to retire (not named Ric Flair) goes around flashing expensive “mug me” stuff. MMA people are far closer to hood mentality and usually retire younger due to the wear and injury rate.
Just sayin’.
