An Oregon federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from sending the National Guard into Portland, as the city contends with hundreds of protestors at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.
It's a major blow to Trump, who called Portland a 'war-ravaged' city under siege by Antifa terrorists, when he announced last week that federal agents would be deployed there.
U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, made the ruling after the city and the state sued the federal government.
The temporary restraining order expires in 14 days on October 18, Immergut wrote in her order.
The Department of Defense has been ready to federalize 200 members of Oregon's National Guard for the next 60 days to protect the ICE facility, which has been a site for protests throughout the summer and into the fall.
On Saturday, about 400 people participating in a 'No National Guard in Portland' rally marched from Elizabeth Caruthers Park to the ICE facility.
As they marched, a helicopter continually followed them. And once they arrived at the facility, federal agents shot tear gas into the crowd and made six arrests, The Oregonian reported.
It's not yet clear who was arrested or why they were taken into custody.

Federal agents, federal building. That’s the federal government’s business.
The Boondock Saints third sequel is in the works.
Just sayin.
They don’t.
Obviously a blatantly unconstitutional TDS-driven ruling that will be overturned. This must be appealed on an emergency basis to the Circuit Court given the lawless situation in Portland with the political leadership in that city/state ordering the police to allow the Democrat Party’s Brownshirts Klantifa to take over parts of the city.
Protesting at the judge’s home is a federal crime.
The Biden Administration refused to enforce the law when Leftists did so at the homes of SCOTUS justices after they threw out Roe V Wade.
Q: What is this “Vigilance Committee” that you speak of? And what is the “action” that you’re referring to… Extrajudicial actions by citizens banded together? Violence upon members of the judiciary? Please do clarify.
Faggots and females.
Ah yes, another dwindling number of contributors who think CW2 hasn’t started yet.
See tagline.
Another fine Heritage pick
Shouldn't the Federal District judges rule on whether President Trump may have breakfast this morning?
You seem to be drifting into an anti-Free-Republic mindset. Why would you take a very vague thought and try to make it a criminal assertion? Your time in Japan has changed you.
STOP APPOINTING FEMALE JUDGES, MR PRESIDENT!
Send them into the court and arrest the judge.
IMHO...
Jus pull the plug on Oregon. Cut them for bait.
Let all US illegals and other social debris treat it as their haven. 😁
Absolutely no authority to do so.
I wonder if, back in the day, some Judge declared it fine to fire on Fort Sumter?
Personally I think, this judge ignoring the numerous precedents already set by other judges being overruled in these matters, gives Trump all the ammo he needs to ignore her now. The law is not at play here , its pure activism. Trump has been great at biding his time, following rulings, playing the long game but agents lives are in jeopardy these days…. So call it settled law and move on.
I’ll just toss this in because it is relevant...

Folks, if Oregon is really willing to vote for self-immolatuon, why is Deep State working so hard to steal their elections?
And a note to the DoJ, the IRS: You lot really ought to take a good look at the bunch responsible for the above.
It’s called selective enforcement. The police refuse to stop AntiFa but will arrest anyone who opposes the Democrats.
