Ohio Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose on Tuesday announced that he has referred more than 1,200 criminal cases related to election integrity to the Department of Justice for consideration of federal prosecution.
The state election official’s recommendations include 1,084 noncitizens who appear to have registered to vote unlawfully in Ohio, including 167 noncitizens who appear to have voted in a federal election in the past four election cycles.
LaRose said nearly 100 other people also appeared to have voted in a federal election twice in two separate states, and 16 people who allegedly voted twice in Ohio in the same election.

A man has died after three people were stabbed in London.
Police were called to a stabbing in Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge, at 5pm on Monday, with London Ambulance Service crews and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance also attending.
A 49-year-old man was treated for stab wounds at the scene but died of his injuries, Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The man’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Another man, aged 45, suffered life-changing injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
A 14-year-old boy was also injured in the stabbing, but police said his injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
A 22-year-old Afghan national was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
