When Daylight Savings Time ends in the fall, we lose that hour of light that we gained when clocks were set ahead by an hour. We’re just shifting shadows.
When we set the clocks back, it gets dark an hour earlier than when we are in Standard Time - we lose an hour of light at the sunset end of the day. It gets light earlier, on the sunrise end of the day. You can think of it as moving a point on a number line; would you rather have light earlier in the day or later?
The amount of light hours vs dark hours available on any given day doesn’t change, aside from the seasonal lengthening and shortening of days as we move through the year.
I like to think of Daylight Savings Time as increasing usable light, it is more useful for most people to have that light at the end of the day, for yard work or chores or an evening walk or whatever, especially when the days and total available daylight hours are growing shorter anyway.
I am fine with leaving it on Daylight Savings Time and not changing it anymore. I find that additional hour of light more useful to me at the sunset end of the day instead of the sunrise.
Well I lived a few years before DST started up again.
I hate it. Trump should end it ASAP.

Why? Because this deal was agreed upon, long ago.
Trump and the Arab/Muslim world came to an agreement to get rid of Obama’s Deep State assets in the region, which included Iran’s nuclear capabilities, and Iran’s proxies like Hamas.
Iran and their proxies were destabilizing the region and posed a threat to the world, so the other nations of the Middle East, most notably Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE, all agreed that the threat must be eliminated in order for peace to be possible.
Trump is eliminating Deep State assets created by Obama, and practically the entire world agreed to it.
Flashback to May 13th: Trump speaks in Saudi Arabia and pretty blatantly says that they will bring a new era of peace to the Middle East and end all the “ancient conflicts”.
The deal was made long ago. We are just witnessing the execution phase.

The powers that be need to restore it back to permanent Standard Time, the way life was before the “fixers” in government messed with it and just leave time alone.

In the fall, we turn clocks back to standard time - that’s when it gets dark an hour earlier. And light an hour earlier in the morning.
DST is used in the summer where the clocks are moved 1 hour ahead to give more evening light.
It sounds like you might have it backwards regarding which is standard and which is DST.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed a new ombudsman to enforce a state prohibition on “diversity, equity and inclusion” (DEI) policies at higher education institutions in Texas.

‘No Kings’ Protester Reportedly Says He’d Kill White House Deputy Chief Of Staff Stephen Miller
A protester at Saturday’s “No Kings” rally in Seattle was recorded telling a reporter he apparently wanted to kill White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
Dozens of protests against President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies took place Oct. 18 nationwide. Journalist Brandi Kruse posted the video of the protester being interviewed while holding a sign which read, “Would You Like To Kill Nazis [With] Me?
“In this context, who is a Nazi?” Kruse asked. “Stephen Miller is a Nazi,” the protestor responded.
“You’re going to kill Stephen Miller,” the reporter repeated, apparently stunned, before the protester replied, “If I had the chance, yeah, I would.”
Kruse later reported the FBI was investigating the man’s threats. Kruse also posted a video showing another protester who said killing Miller would be “justifiable.”
Miller and his family were forced to move from their home in Arlington, Virginia after a being targets of a harassment campaign. The intense effort included written messages like, “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy,” “No white nationalism,” and “Trans rights are human rights” on public sidewalks near his residence, along with posting flyers that reportedly listed his home address.

I should have said when we set the clocks back to Standard Time, it gets dark an hour earlier than it does when we are using Daylight Savings Time. We lose that usable hour of light.
