He's been called a "queer icon" who likes to crossdress and makes out with his male backup dancers while performing (I'll spare you that particular photo).
The other reason you may not be very familiar with him is that he has refused to perform concerts in the United States "because of ICE." Here he is explaining:

Sounds to me like its an opportunity for an astute promoter to put on an “Alternate Halftime Show” via stream.
Maybe get TPUSA and others involved to promote it.
Lord knows I won’t be watching the official halftime show... so, someone offers me something worth tuning into, I’ll be willing to watch that instead, and I’m sure many many others would.
