Watch Jasmine Crockett Try To Rationalize How People On The Left Supposedly Can’t ‘Make A Shot From 200 Yards’

Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett tried to downplay left-wing political violence on CNN Tuesday by claiming liberals don’t grow up shooting guns and therefore pose less of a threat.

A Friday poll from YouGov found that 25% of respondents who identify as very liberal believe political violence is sometimes justified. In an appearance on “The Arena,” host Kasie Hunt asked directly whether political violence from the right is worse than from the left. Crockett dodged and branded the entire comparison “false.”

“Please tell me who is fostering this gun culture, right? I mean, the reality is that the average person on the left probably couldn’t make a shot from 200 yards because they haven’t been playing with assault rifles since they were a little kid. Like that is just the reality of how people on the left typically work,” Crockett told Hunt. “And if we believe that political violence is a problem in this country, if we believe that our children on campuses, just because they want to go out and have a day of free speech on campus, may be subjected to this kind of violence, then maybe we need to start talking about legislation that will keep these types of weapons out of certain people’s hands.”

Crockett floated red flag laws as a possible solution and ended her remarks by urging mitigation efforts to protect political expression across the spectrum.

“Now, whether or not this gentleman would have qualified under any type of laws that many of the Democrats have proposed, I don’t know. But the reality is that they typically want to say it’s somebody with a mental health problem. Well, maybe red flag laws would be helpful in those circumstances,” Crockett added. “The reality is that we are elected to at a very minimum try to do mitigation and try to make sure that everyone, whether they are left, right, in the middle, or non-affiliated, can express their views without this idea that they may be subjected to violence, which a lot of it could actually be prevented.”

Crockett rejected the premise that right-wing political violence poses a greater threat than left-wing violence.

“I think it’s a false comparison in the first place. And I think we should have a leader that is responsible enough to denounce political violence, period. It’s not about where it comes from. It’s about the fact that it is happening,” Crockett said. “It is never OK. It is never OK. If it happens on the left, it is never OK if it happens on the right. And if we had someone that knew how to be an adult in the room, he would say that.”

Brit Hume warned that the left’s harsh reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination could backfire politically. While Crockett dismissed comparisons between left- and right-wing violence as “false,” Hume said the left’s increasingly hostile tone is a growing liability.

Grabien News founder Tom Elliot shared a video compilation Sunday on X that captured progressives and media personalities praising Kirk’s killing. On his SiriusXM show Thursday, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith strongly criticized those reveling in the murder, calling out the cruelty of such reactions.

Multiple individuals have faced termination for making light of Kirk’s death online. Some Democratic lawmakers have gone after his supporters, while others attempted to compare his death to the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.

Evil lives among us. Time for everybody to start to realize it’s not a metaphor.

Apparently, the left is determined to start a physical fighting war over this. It's not going to backfire politically if they don't stop. The words mad nor insane now fit the paradigm we are facing. We do not have words in English to describe how completely and totally these people are messed up and mentally ill.

These polls don’t mean much.

I think most people believe violence is justified in politics sometimes.

Maybe the poll asks about assassinations. That would be different.

The American Revolution was political violence.

Lee Harvey Oswald (communist) made a ~300 foot shot at a moving target.

So people on the “left” make plenty of good shots.

I was thinking about it a bit. I think all of the major assassination attempts of federal or national people have been by leftists

Lincoln — Democrat shooter
T Roosevelt — some sort of commie, but mainly crazy
Hoover -— anarchists bombers
McKinley — anarchist (?)
J Kennedy — communist
R Kennedy — pali arab commie
Martin Luther King — George Wallace supporter
Ford (attempts) — environmental wacko was one. I think there were two.
Reagan — leftist loonie
Congressional Baseball — Bernie Bro Democrat
Trump — leftist
Trump — leftist

There was some kind of mail bomber that went after Soros, Clinons, Obama that was a right-winger, but I think that’s it.

You left out Garfield. His assassin Guiteau was ostensibly a Republican but one with mental problems. His family tried to get him committed in 1875. He convinced himself he got Garfield elected and deserved appointed office. When that didn’t happen he snapped.

Well, I have seen black men not be able to make a 2 point basket unless there was pubic hair around the rim of the basket.

If her defense I don’t believe the shooter was aiming for neck, more likely a headshot IMHO.

Because most of their kills are less than 20 yds.

Some articles that I’ve read suggest it was a ricochet off a titanium armor chest plate that hit him in the neck.

I doubt a head shot was the assassins intent.

Someday, perhaps we will get a better analysis of the actual event. Probably during the trial.

...assault rifles...

The most simple rifle to operate was used, a bolt action rifle, and she goes off on a tangent into assault rifles.

Now, either she has no clue about rifles in general or she DOES know and this is just
her way of saying that even the most basic of semiautomatic rifle needs restrictions.
