There are a lot of people talking about not seeing Tyler Robinson leaving the rooftop with the rifle. But I don't see anyone asking if he could even made the shot. I'm no expert, but taking a single shot and killing your target at 200 yards requires more than a little experience shooting a gun. At that range the bullet is going to be affected by wind (if there was any), by a drop of several inches (or more) due to gravity, and shooting from a higher elevation is going to require compensation.
Where did Tyler Robinson learn enough to shoot at that distance?
Probably not more than a few hundred on this forum that could do it.
“””Where did Tyler Robinson learn enough to shoot at that distance?””””””””””
By growing up with guns just like I did along with millions of others.
Ok, let’s put this to rest. In 1983 I went to basic and at the firing range scored 37/40 and was awarded Expert. I had to nail 350 meter targets with open iron sights of the M16. No problem. I was 21. I did it in the prone position, and then they let me try with an AK47 and I scored expert again. To my surprise, two of my misses were the 50 meter, the close ones, as I was not ready for them and shot too fast! So, there is no reason this man or any other man couldn’t have blown someone’s head clean off at a mere 70 meters. It’s just not that hard, and a scope wouldn’t have been necessary.
Not very difficult.
You're right. He couldn't possibly have made the shot. It must have been someone on the grassy knoll.
Why don’t you share with us your shooting experience?
Have you ever fired a rifle or any other firearm?
Oh, please.
Reports put him on the roof weeks prior to 9/11, providing opportunity to get accurate range.
Any idiot can pull up the drop for the range, which has been wildly reported between 140-200 yards.
Cold bore with similar test shots in the woods - including angle - would make almost anyone accurate at that range.
Personally, I believe he was shocked at the first hit because he didn’t expect his heart rate & adrenaline to affect him so when he went prone.
I also believe that he expected to die on that roof after exhausting his rounds downrange, hoping for his desired result. Seriously: What dumbass dresses in black to amplify his silhouette against the sky and doesn’t expect to be shot (among other stupid things)?
But here we are...[alleged] shooter in custody, awaiting ballistic & residue test results.
Back in my younger days, I did a bit of competitive rifle shooting. And that involved sighting in my rifle before the event.
But that was a long time ago. Do they now have some sort of fancy laser gizmo that makes sighting in a rifle unnecessary? If not, wouldn’t Robinson had to have sighted in his rifle for 200 yards previously?
After all, that was a pretty remarkable kill shot (and obviously not in a good way).
Disclaimer: I’m not saying Robinson wasn’t the shooter. I’m just surprised at how good (or lucky) the shot was.
Exactly.
Its just not that hard.
and shooting from a higher elevation is going to require compensation.
xxxxxxxx
how bout shooting from a higher elevation & then squeezing it under the tent canopy to the target sitting several feet back under the tent
Don’t be absurd.
Don’t be silly.
Don’t persist in ignorance.
I’d like to know where the assassin practiced his shooting skills before trying the real thing.
He had experience. He was brought up with guns. It’s an average shot for a hunter.
We don’t know how much of Charlie the shooter could see, we also don’t know where on Charlie the shooter was aiming. In my opinion he was not shooting at Charlies neck. In my opinion he was either going for a head shot or a center of mass shot and he got just got lucky that his one shot connected and it ended up being terminal.
The prime suspect in Charlie Kirk's killing 'excitedly' bragged about his long-range shooting skills to his workmates, a former colleague has claimed. Now, a man who claims to have previously worked with Robinson as an electrician on a site in St George, Utah, has spoken out about what he was like as a colleague. "We were out by the trucks and then Tyler and another guy came over," he told the New York Post. "We were all talking about what kinds of guns we were gonna get or had bought, and they started talking about their longest shots.
"Tyler said he made a 450-yard shot. That was like the only time we got [Robinson] to conversate with us, when we were talking about guns that day. - https://www.ladbible.com/news/us-news/charlie-kirk-shooting-tyler-robinson-bragged-guns-ex-colleague-claims-516653-20250914Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson's shocking childhood photo shows him posing with an M2 Browning .50 calibre machine gun
You can’t blame the dude from the grassy knoll... I’m pretty sure he was signing autographs at an assassin-con in Vegas.
I think that the real question is how much like a video game, it is.
Never handled a rifle or troll.
Take your pick.
That would be nice. However we will see more of this crap.
