Cracker Barrel's new logo has sparked a social media firestorm, with many comparing the restaurant chain's rebrand to Bud Light's infamous Dylan Mulvaney campaign.
Memes featuring Mulvaney alongside the 'new' Cracker Barrel logo have gone viral on X since the chain revealed its redesign Tuesday.
Some show the transgender influencer in mocked-up Cracker Barrel staff uniforms, while others recycle images from her 2023 Bud Light promotion — swapping beer cans for the barrels dropped from the logo.
That now-infamous campaign triggered a boycott of Bud LIght that cost parent company Anheuser-Busch more than $1 billion in sales.
Now critics warn Cracker Barrel could face the same fate. On Thursday alone, the company shed nearly $100 million in market value.
'Go Woke, Go Broke. The biggest blunder since the Bud Light/Dylan Mulvaney fiasco. They might as well declare bankruptcy right now and save some time,' an X user wrote.
The redesign — the chain’s first in 48 years — removes the iconic old man leaning on a barrel as well as the pinto bean shape behind the name, a nod to one of the original side dishes offered when Cracker Barrel opened in 1969.
Critics say the changes stripped away the brand’s character and charm. The rebrand comes as the company overhauls its 650 restaurants nationwide, swapping rustic southern-style interiors for a modern look.
That shift, too, has sparked backlash, with customers complaining the chain is 'just turning into any other restaurant.'
The chain’s name itself comes from barrels once used to deliver crackers to country stores, which later doubled as makeshift tables for community gatherings.
'This rebrand says nothing about history or tradition and everything about marketing consultants making quick money,' one Reddit user wrote.

There are people who think so highly of themselves and so little of others that they will seize any opportunity to destroy whatever they can. It’s mostly the hatred of Christianity. The whole me too movement started because of that Bush relative published a recording of Trump observing how women will be compliant when they want something. It’s not untrue while not always true. In order to get Trump they instituted a zero tolerance policy and Harvey Weinstein got snared along with Kevin Spacey and others. They never really got Trump with it but felt justified calling him sexist and misogynist. They went after men with Toxic Masculinity and then went after boys by feminizing Star Wars and the Marvel universe. It is why there is so much emphasis on transsexualism.
They are determined to break down manhood any way they can. Ultimately the target is the strong male Christian husband and the traditional Christian wife.

It removed the white man. But even if it's not woke, the new logo is duller than three-day old dishwater -- there's no longer any visual element or flourish to draw the eye.
Most of the stock holders are big corporate money management/investment companies. Blackrock,Vanguard...
Maybe this was done to lower stock prices and allow someone to buy more stock at lower prices ..
Wouldn’t be surprised..if not some hi-finance gambit...she will be toast as a CEO...but she may have a golden parachute in her contract...guess I have to go to IHOP...or Chili’s...or cook my own grub....lots cheaper...and no tips or waiting for a table...
They should make a deal to only serve Bud Lite.
It'll make sense that they're woke and they want to make sure that they get to drive their agenda even if the company ends up bankrupt.
It's an investment to them so it's not a big deal.
New logo is only one part. The company’s website reflects its policy: basically all pages have equity and diversity now. And specificaly it also caters to all political groups except white heterosexual male.

It’s actually more aligned with changing the Redskins name, or removing Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben and the Land O Lakes Indian from the brand packaging. This time, it’s removing the old white “cracker.” It’s removing Americana from America, making everything bland, generic and flavorless.
I think they will change the name in the near future to Crapper Barrel.
They can’t reverse this. Cracker Barrel has already gone through with the dining room makeovers and the change in signage.
I don’t think CB can absorb this hit like Budweiser was able to. This is far worse than Mulvaney, because you have actual physical stores and assets affected.
