Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that Ukraine is prepared to work productively in order to end the war between Kiev and Moscow.
"When peace is discussed for one country in Europe, it means peace for all of Europe. We are ready to continue working with maximum effort to end the war and to ensure reliable security. These are the key issues," Zelensky wrote on his X account after an encounter with United States Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg in Washington earlier today, and ahead of the multilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump and European leaders in the White House.
The Ukrainian president shared that both teams discussed the battlefield situation and diplomatic capabilities, adding that Russia "can only be forced into peace through strength," and that the US President "has that strength." He underlined that Ukraine, together with its allies, "have to do everything right to make peace happen."

We'll see.
Melania left the Slavic world behind her a long time ago. She’s an American (since 2006), and a great one at that. Also, being the wife of one of the greatest Americans to ever exist is yet another “freedom-loving-feather” in her cap.
There can be redemption for some.
You defend Ukraine, you can defend your comments to everyone.
“You defend Ukraine, you can defend your comments to everyone.”
LOL! You responded to my post about Putin. It was not defending Ukraine.
I guess my description of your dear Putin oddended you.
She loves her native country.
She’s an American (since 2006), and a great one at that.
Of Slavic origin.
There can be redemption for some.
The broad brush is akin to bigotry unbecoming of FreeRepublic (and no, I'm not Slavic). It's just ugly.
I’ve already suggested that if he doesn’t arrive in a suit, Trump should tell him to come back when you follow protocol and wear a suit in the Peoples’ House.
“Z” wore a suit all the while he was campaigning. He knows its significance.
Will Zelensky blow up the meeting at the White House again?
“I don’t believe a single word from this dirt-bag.”
Oh you can believe one word in his statement, “productively,” his way or the highway. And when it goes beyond his idea of productively, he’ll throw a tantrum or walk out. So that’s the one word you can rely on him to be truthful about in his mind.

Does she? How often does she mention Slovenia, or -- better yet -- how often has she visited her homeland? Especially as the First Lady?
Do you ever read what you post? If you do, do you ever employ any kind of thinking capacity? Or do you simply regurgitate media?
There's no wonder there. The wonder is that people don't understand Zelensky is an unelected grifter who keeps the war going so he can hold on to wealth and power as long as possible.
Your argument is based on a personality assessment, not on a comparison of two leaders faced with a choice of defending their nation against a superior attacking force or surrender. Any leader who opted for surrender would in high likelihood be removed.
He's unelected that's for sure. I might be wrong in the use of the word "grifter". That denotes a small time swindler.
No. And your point is?
“Prior to the Battles of Saratoga in 1777, you’d have to wonder why the colonists and continental army kept the war going....”
A better analogy is the Confederate States. They were hoping for help from Europe too, and just like today, help that will never come.
No, a civil war isn’t analogous to an invasion from a neighbor.
You’re just parsing words. The CSA certainly considered it an invasion, and others have plausibly claimed that the current war is a civil war. I say it’s a war between brothers.
