Metallica songs transformed into country tunes using Ai

Metallica heavy metal songs genre swapped to country tunes using Ai model. Crazy how good this stuff is getting. Particularly “Sad But True” and “Nothing Else Matters.” This guy has a whole channel of stuff like this. Motown Guns ‘n’ Roses sounds solid too. One one hand, it shows a good song is a good song. On the other, the music industry is as we know it is headed to the dust bin of history.

Bob’s Country Bunker was ahead of its time.

It’s okay. The singer’s voice sounds artificial, or like a human voice that has been electronically manipulated. It reminds me of Cher in “Do You Believe in Life After Love?”

I would be much more impressed by actual human musicians turning Metallic songs into country. Any true art comes human creativity, and that is what AI, no matter how “good” its product, takes away from us.

Well, how about Pat Boone performing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” with a Big Band, jazzy arrangement.

I never heard the original, but I’m sure I like Pat’s more.

One of my friends has NO musical training, and he is able to produce songs that I believe would be top 40 country radio in Nashville. He describes the style he wants, and provides his own lyrics, and the AI result is simply amazing.

Very unsatisfying. Not so much country versions of Metallica music, but just random AI country music made using Metallica lyrics.

There is a group called Iron Horse that made Metallica songs into Bluegrass.

Check out “Iron Horse”, a bluegrass band that does Metallica. They’re actually quite good.

I recommend Hayseed Dixie. Great metal tunes transformed to blue grass. Strummin with the Devil was a great album.

Nope. And he can sing, and he is on good terms with a LOT of talented folks who helped out on that album, because he really IS a nice guy . . . and not above self-parody.

Yes AI can create lowest common denominator slop if you want that.

But in this case they just took the lyrics and created new songs in the desired genre without regard to the original musical or vocal melodies. Not impressed.

I suspect they will get better at it over time.
