Zohran Mamdani doubles down on plan to target ‘whiter neighborhoods’ with higher taxes — and says billionaires shouldn’t exist
Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani doubled down on his plan to jack up property taxes on “richer and whiter neighborhoods” on Sunday — and also asserted that billionaires shouldn’t exist.
Mamdani claimed that his soak-the-rich proposal was “not driven by race” — despite his campaign platform explicitly targeting white homeowners.
“That is just a description of what we see right now. It’s not driven by race. It’s more of an assessment of what neighborhoods are being under-taxed versus over-taxed,” Mamdani told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

That’s the picture I was trying to find the other day, to post. It captures the situation perfectly.
In the front we have Mamdani himself. He looks like a very reasonable guy - very calm and articulate. No crazy arm-waving like we saw with Lenin or Hitler.
Next we have the stupid women. I suppose they’re lost in a fantasy - a fantasy where they’re at a Martin Luther King rally.
And at the back we have the stern, unsmiling Islamists. They are making plans, plans those women won’t like.
Those unsmiling men are the true face of Mamdani‘s campaign (and of EVERY Muslim’s campaign).
