House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries hesitated to endorse presumptive Democratic New York City mayor nominee Zohran Mamdani but praised his "successful" campaign and messaging.
"I have not," Jeffries said when asked by "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl about if he had endorsed the self-proclaimed democratic socialist candidate.
Jeffries said he spoke to Mamdani on Wednesday and plans to meet in person soon in Central Brooklyn.
"I congratulated him on the campaign that he ran, a campaign that clearly was relentlessly focused on the high cost of living in New York City and the economy. He outworked, he out-communicated, and he out-organized the opposition, and that's clearly why he was successful," he added.
Pressed on why he was holding back from endorsing Mamdani, Jeffries said "We don't really know each other well."

He should really go ahead and endorse him. It would show tremendous party unity for the rat party.
The secret is that the Democrats are not supposed to admit that they’re “socialist”.

There's a strategy for the Republicans to hold on to their seats in Congress and a lot of it depends on whether Zohran Mamdani gets elected as the Mayor of NYC.
Otherwise, the Republicans are not inspiring their voters to turn out on Election Day especially when Trump's not on the ballot.

My theory is even the bright ones like Bill Clinton have gotten so used to the daily tongue bath from the media that they’ve lost critical thinking. Thus all the knee jerk expressions of joy from the supposedly mainstream leaders. But I further theorize that it’s dawned on them that the radicals won’t stop at mayoralties. Next they’ll go for Senate seats and governorships, and overthrow the ruling clique of the party. Same problem they had making Hogg DNC vice chair.Above the table or below the table they’re going to effort getting someone else elected. My guess is, with the indictment dismissed, it will be Adams. As with ejecting Hogg and the Biden to Harris transition, we know that following small “d” democratic niceties is not in their playbook. They’ll do anything to achieve their ends

Moderates (old school liberals) like John Fetterman are on their way out.
Anyone who endorses Mamdani has not done their homework on him.
This is only Sunday. He until about Wednesday for a ‘hearty embrace’ of all that Mamdani claims to stand for.
The party Spin Doctors will likely hammer out some kind of neutral statement both men can parrot, and easily claim to support.

NBC anchor Kristen Welker turned fawning and butt kissing into an art form this morning’s interview with Mamdani. He didn’t even receive tough questions like “What’s your favorite ice cream’ - tough questions like the MSM threw at Biden.
Welker threw out ‘death threats’ - trying to portray him as a martyr - which is a standard democrat dirty trick. With that one act, it’s easy to assume lots of democrats are backing the guy - especially idiots in the MSM...
The actual election is 6 months away, they have plenty of time to cuddle up.

I can understand being neutral in a primary election. But why wouldn’t a Democrat endorse a Democrat nominee? This dude is the choice of Democrats in New York City.
