RE: plane slices portion of the tail of another plane....

(Sorry to those who read my joke made up for a previous couple of accidents. And to those who want good taste in humor.)

The pilot said to the copilot
“When I land this thing I am going to get me a piece of tail.”

Getting some new tail isn’t always a bad thing.

Even if it was parked in the wrong spot, you’d think pilots on the Boeing would know they didn’t have clearance.

Traffic rules apply - the person who had the ability to avoid the accident and didn’t is at fault.

Slicing through the tail easily like knife thru butter. Kinda like a jetliner sliced through WTC like knife through butter.

It was the right move to suspend all four involved pilots until things can be sorted out.

Sidewinder missiles would have worked better.

Must be some of the Vietnamese trainee pilots my dad talked about in 1972..."Open your eyes...and pull up...PULL UP...PULL UP!!

They graduated and went home. Enid was a safer place after that.

Do they have DEI people in the tower or for ground control?

I wonder how hard it is to be driving an aircraft, on the ground, and run into another parked airplane?

This goes back a few years, but the joke is applicable to the airlines you choose to fly. One of our class members who built ice roads to oil fields in the Soviet Union had to fly on Aeroflot all the time. He posed the question at a high school class reunion about who killed more people a scud missile or an Aeroflot jet. Of course, the answer was the Aeroflot jet.

The DEI airlines are off my list for reviewing Obits options.

” the Airbus was not parked correctly on the runway”

Just like in the city. Put on the safety blinkers, park in the middle of the street, and yell, “I just need to run in real quick.”

Will be interested to see what Mentour Pilot has to say about this one. He does a great job of digging in deep and explaining all the factors that combined to create any given aircraft "incident."

If the Boeing collided with the Airbus, why the hell did they suspend the pilots?
