@RepMTG
My thoughts on bombing Iran.
I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by Iran, but I know many people who have been victims of crime committed by criminal illegal aliens or MURDERED by Cartel and Chinese fentanyl/drugs.
Almost everyone in our country can relate to this fact.
However America has not dropped bunker busters on the Cartel’s sophisticated drug tunnels, launched tomahawks on massive cartel poisonous drug operations, or gone to war against the cartels international terrorists networks.
Neocon warmongers beat their drums of war and act like Billy badasses going to war in countries most Americans have never seen and can’t find on a map, but never find the courage to go to war against the actual terrorists who actually do kill Americans, invade our land, and make BILLIONS doing it day after day, year after year.
I’m 51 years old. I’m GenX.
I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember. I was in 10th grade when Desert Storm started and my father before me was sent to Vietnam, another senseless foreign war.
America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American.
American troops have been killed and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits.
I’m sick of it.
I can easily say I support nuclear armed Israel’s right to defend themselves and also say at the same time I don’t want to fight or fund nuclear armed Israel’s wars.
Nor any other country for that matter.
I’m sick of funding foreign aid and foreign countries and foreign everything.
I want to fund American interests and issues.
I want GREAT trade deals so American businesses and people can afford goods and be successful.
I want low inflation and low interest rates.
I want American construction, housing, and manufacturing to BOOM.
I want Americans to be rich and have security in their future.
I want my children’s generation to HAVE A GREAT FUTURE!!!
My kids are 22, 25, and 27.
It pisses me off beyond comprehension that my children’s generation can’t afford to buy a house, can’t afford insurance, and have little hope for their future!!!
Americans are exhausted by all of this and rightfully so.
I can also support President Trump and his great administration on many of the great things they are doing while disagreeing on bombing Iran and getting involved in a hot war that Israel started.
That’s not disloyalty. Critical thinking and having my own opinions is the most American thing ever.
Because contrary to what brainwashed Democrat boomers say, Trump is not a king, MAGA is not a cult, and President Trump has surrounded himself with people who once disagreed with him and even ran against him for President.
Also the same Democrats in Congress that are all of sudden clutching their pearls about Trump bombing Iran FULLY SUPPORTED AND VOTED TO FUND Dementia ridden Biden’s proxy war against Russia in Ukraine and stood by Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Hypocrites is all they are and they are just desperately trying to find solid ground to oppose Trump on because so far they’ve failed at grasping anything yet.
Now what has been done is done and Americans now fear Iranian terrorists attacks on our own soil and being dragged into another war by Netanyahu when we weren’t even thinking about any of this a week ago.
We don’t know what the future holds and I pray for the safety of all people and an end to the constant demand for America to go to war.
Enough is enough.
“He has become George Bush, destroyer of troops.”

Yeah, where is that here? This is a one and done strike, performed over a country with virtually no air defenses, by our best and brightest, flying our very best equipment. The worst injury that occurred during this entire mission was likely that a few of the pilots might’ve had their hindquarters fall asleep because they were sitting for so long.
Oh, and the reason why this mission was undertaken was very clear: it was to prevent a bunch of theocratic gangsters who have already killed north of 1000 Americans over the last 46 years, who referred to us as their greatest enemy on a regular basis, from developing atomic weapons with which to threaten not merely its neighbors, but us as well. If you can’t see that, and can compare Trump to that globalist whore, GWB, then you are as mentally challenged as MTG.
MTG is Candace Owens in Congress. Only paler.
Let’s tie a yellow ribbon round her big mouth..
“But this mission was not a 1991 or 2003 bombing as a preliminary to a ground invasion. Nor was it a pile-on 2011 Libyan bombing campaign designed for regime change. It had a limited agenda—the destruction of Iran’s nuclear fortresses—and it apparently succeeded.” - VDH

Muslim 3-Step Program:
* Religious - Immigrate to a country.
* Political - Increase in number.
* Militant - Eliminate those who oppose them.
Every American, Congressman, and Senator should listen to this short discussion by American Historian by WILLIAM FEDERER on Islam.
During the Q & A a student asked why legislators are so weak when it comes to condemning Islamic aggression.
FEDERER responded, “3 Things.”
1. They are ignorant about the history of Islam.
2. They are afraid of Islam aggression.
3. They are on the take.
She is welcome to her opinions but she is combining some unconnected issues. It is time to support President Trump and his decision. Nobody wants to go any farther with Iran.
I agree with MTG. Iran is not this country’s biggest threat: it’s the Communist left. They came close to killing our leader, Trump, whether it be by their lawfare in prison, or by a bullet in Butler.
That being said, I’m going to ride with the President. What choice do I have? The Communists must be kept out of power at all costs. I don’t know why the President bombed Iran. Supposedly, I’m told they are close to having a nuke. I’ve been told that for many years. The same people told me Saddam had nukes: he didn’t. If Iran did have a nuke? Meh. Don’t really care. It certainly wasn’t what we talked about just six months ago during the campaign. Those were the issues I cared about.
I don’t know what information the President has. Maybe he was told he could wipe out their entire nuke program for 20 years with one mission. Maybe he’s buying votes for the big beautiful bill in Congress. AIPAC might suddenly start pushing some votes his way, now that they’ve gotten their Fodro strike. Or maybe he’s gotten intelligence Iran was behind the bullet in Butler and this is payback. I don’t know.
I sure as hell don’t want to see boots on the ground over there, but I doubt they’ll ask me. I’m with you Mr. President. You’re doing great; don’t get sidetracked.
This was a list of Conservative cliches in search of a thought. Hope Bannon is not on his high horse today.
I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by MS-13 or Tren de Aragua or a rabid dog.
Everything Trump has said or done regarding Iran is consistent with his message going all the way back to 2016.
Iran = COVID
A legitimate threat
Hyped beyond reality of the actual threat
The Democrat Party is the biggest threat to the security, future, well being , and lives. And the people care not one whit. De4mocrats are degenerate, perverse, enjoy killing people and the voters elect them in droves.
Hey MTG, what about the enslaved women of Iran...got anything to say about them?
I don’t know but I’m tired of waiting for the next terrorist attack in some country including ours. Iran needs to be put in it’s place and a regime change needs to take place.
*** Her misunderstanding of deterrence is dangerous. Iran has openly threatened to destroy Israel and the U.S. If intel showed Iran nearing nuclear capability, then acting wasn’t about serving Israel—it was about defending U.S. and global security.***
I have a question. Based on your explanation here, why haven’t we bombed North Korea? They are not “nearing” nuclear capability, they have it, and the means to deliver those nuclear weapons to the US. Also, we do know there were IAEA Inspectors in Iran. How many are in North Korea?
Actually, I have had dozens of Freepers tell me that I was.
I would have know you were a former military guy even if you didn't say so in your post.
It's hard to believe there are still Freepers who are delusional or ignorant or stubborn enough to believe anything they read about what "intel showed."
Well apparently there are. I would think the Iraq War would have taught some a few valuable lessons but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Great question. The reason we haven’t bombed North Korea, despite their nuclear capability, comes down to deterrence dynamics and cost-benefit risk assessment, not moral inconsistency.
North Korea already crossed the nuclear threshold. Striking them now would guarantee a counterstrike, likely against South Korea or Japan—both of which host U.S. forces. The potential for massive civilian and military casualties makes preemption far more dangerous after nuclear weapons are operational.
Iran had not crossed that line—yet. That’s the critical distinction. If intelligence showed Iran nearing operational nuclear capability, the window for action was brief and closing. Preemptive action, though risky, was aimed at preserving deterrence, not triggering escalation. Once a nation becomes a declared nuclear power, the game changes.
As for IAEA inspectors: yes, Iran had them, but their access was restricted, and Iran had repeatedly violated safeguards, enriching uranium well beyond civilian thresholds. Meanwhile, North Korea expelled inspectors long ago and declared its withdrawal from the NPT. So in both cases, international oversight was already compromised.
Bottom line: deterrence isn’t one-size-fits-all. The goal is to prevent nuclear breakout when possible. Once that line is crossed—as with North Korea—deterrence shifts from prevention to containment.
