A shadow society has been unearthed - and its leaders are furious that its citizens are being deported by the legacy government. There is no way these people are ever going to shut up and play nice, so I’m not sure where things go from here. A calming phase will come - but the shadow citizens will remain.
Illegals have to go, period. They could have applied as my wife did, and wait over 10 years to get a green card, then report as requested, take the tests, and be awarded citizenship.
If that is inconvenient for those who come here illegally to pay their taxes and be on the pathway to citizenship... they need be to gone.
Allowing themn to stay for any reason when they are illegally here is rewarding bad behavior.
In fact the entire citizenship process is designed to prevent people who break laws from gaining citizenship, whether it be stealing, voting, going to a hospital and stiffing the taxpayers for free healthcare, or speeding ticketss - these all prevent people from citizenship - THE MODEL CITIZEN WAS THE GOAL.
If you came into the country without a visa you are a criminal illegal.

I do believe the current POTUS with this legacy government understand human psyche and conditions extremely well which will cause a far more diligent population going forward in regards to what remains of the shadow society. I believe this becomes a nationwide response so strong and it will not be lost on at least two generations of people what a government of the people can do when it must to protect its own people against tyranny.
Thank God the civilian population is armed.
