Well, it brings me no pleasure to bag on Pepsi but the people have spoken with their almighty dollars.
Recently, Dr Pepper made its debut in the #2 slot, knocking Pepsi to the bronze position.
There's hope for America! Dr Pepper just toppled Pepsi and I am here for it Just when we seemed to be at our darkest hour, a glimmer of hope arose. NOTTHEBEE.COM

Now, the former king of pop (although it has been a few decades now) has been supplanted by what some may consider a surprising choice.
Yes, Sprite is now the country's third-favorite soda.
Let's be honest, these ARE the three best sodas. In places two and three are Dr. Pepper and Sprite, respectively, per the outlet. The former soft drink accounts for 8.3 percent of all canned soda sales, while the latter one is responsible for 8.03 percent, the outlet reported.
Pepsi, in comparison, only has 7.97 percent of the market, according to the outlet.
See ya later, Pepsi!
This isn't so much a hatred of Pepsi, although it is sorta gross, but it's more about how we, as a country, have finally got it right. Trump hasn't even been president for 6 months but already the three best sodas are now the three best selling sodas.
Now we've just got to fix the order and establish Dr Pepper supremacy.
“A&W Root Beer for me.”
Me too... A&W has got to be near the top. Dr Pepper is my number two. I literally have not had a Coke in years...
I still miss the old Moxie. Never drink soda now.
Searching for Nehi Orange best price hound is $5 a 12 oz. bottle!!!$49 for 12 at Amazon.plus tax.
Wine can be bought for less.
Do,you remember a brand called Kist?
I expect that most iced drinks were invented or perfected in the South.
One of the biggest shocks of my life was when I got my first week end in San Diego while in Boot Camp and ordered a hamburger and tea at a local cafe.
The tea was hot and the hamburger was just a chunk of ground beef on a bun with a smear of some kind of sandwich spread. Iced tea and a hamburger with every thing on it was standard issue in Texas.
Then there was the time I was at an IBM school in Chicago and the weather was Chicago winter bad. That week end I had to stay at the hotel du jour, The Chicago Sheraton.
I ordered iced tea at the in house cafe and the waitress advised this obvious southern boy that they did not serve iced tea that time of year.
I then ordered a pot of hot tea and a glass of ice water. She initially refused the order and I had to get loud and ugly before she finally relented and brought me the hot tea.
$32 for a $6 case of pop? Nope
Since I no longer drive to Chicago and fill the car with Vernor’s along the way, I’m thrilled to have it available and willingly pay any price, and pay it happily. LOVE Amazon!
Now if only someone would make my old Pertussin’s Cough Medicine again... I still keep a 60 year old bottle in the medicine cabinet for occasional sniffings that bring back the smell of childhood.
I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, she's a pepper, they're a pepper--wouldn't you wanna be a pepper, too?
Back when I drank soda it was diet. Why? I worked the graveyard shift for years. Around midnight I would walk out to hanger for a soda to wash my sandwich down and the machine would literally be out of everything except diet sodas. So, I got used to them. Diet prune soda (Dr. Pepper) was usually in there, but I varied it. Fresca was good, Fresca, gin, and a scoop of lime sherbet was better.
I haven’t drunk soda pop in decades but if I do give me a cherry Dr Pepper. 😊
Shudder...clear booze. Yuck
Dr Pepper, Rune and a squirt of lime... yum
RC with cane sugar instead of corn syrup is good but hard to get.
Mr. Pibb > Dr. Pepper
“before it diapperared”
I had no idea that was a verb!
I went to a restaurant in San Diego that served ice tea mixed with lemonade. They branded it as “swampwater” and it is a real thirst quencher.
That’s an Arnold Palmer.
Jolt tasted exactly like Coke to me.
I think the worst 2 sodas I have had are Birch beer and Big Red...now Big Red doesctaste like gum.
Dr Pepper,rum, lime...
A Texas Libre, lol.
Pibb doesn’t really taste that close.
It is tolerable and better than nothing, but not the same.
The Dr. Thunder is closer but if you put it side by side for a taste test Dr. Pepper is still better.
Maybe they just need more carbonation or are slightly too sweet.
When I was a young lad, the family vacation started with a Dr. Pepper the first mile into Michigan from Ohio where Dr. P was not yet then sold. We celebrated that first stop as much as the first dip into the icy Lake Michigan.
