See ya later, alligator.
Many Floridians have had bizarre encounters with alligators — but this one might take the cake.
A Sunshine State resident took to Reddit to share their frightening experience with two creepy reptiles that came up to their home’s front door, which was all captured on the family’s Ring camera.
The footage shows two enormous alligators dilly-dallying around the home’s front porch.
When one of the alligators saw that no one was coming to the door to welcome them into their home, they lingered a little bit longer before growing impatient.
The video then showed one of the reptiles standing on its hind legs — looking just like a person, with its face pressed against the front door. His sidekick was crawling on the ground right behind him.
Maybe he was trying to scratch his way in — or announce he was there and didn’t mean any harm?
One could only speculate.

This is why you always ALWAYS ask for ID when someone “claiming” to be from the cable or electric company comes to your door.

I deal with gators here in Florida almost every day - have been for years now. Part of my job is to know them and to harvest them from the controlled area when its necessary (motto - a fed gator is a dead gator).
One thing I'm pretty sure of is that there must be water behind that home and the gators are moving from one water source to the next. No, they do not have some internal compass, but do have incredibly strong senses that lead them to water...and when moving, they follow their senses. That straight line approach often takes them to the front and rear of homes, where they bump around until they find a way around a home...and they bump a lot - sometimes seemingly knocking on doors.
The thing that gets me is, I've never seen or heard of two gators moving together. Its mating season down here now and one might be a female, but females don't usually get over six feet. These two look almost eight, snout to tail. And mating is usually done when the male approaches a female in or at the water and tries to woo her.
Then, two males? Not likely - especially in mating season. Males establish territorial dominance over other males...often to the death.
Who knows? Them/Them gators now?

We had one in our fenced backyard. We don’t live on the water but there is water within a mile or so. Never figured out how/why it was in our backyard😄 Trapper who came to get it was impressive to watch.
