Clever move to say that the moon will be hit, or might be hit, with DOGE lurking in the shadows.

I’ve seen this movie. There are several with the same plot.

It doesn’t end well. In any of them.

"impacts. “It’d be like a natural experiment,” a planetary scientist told The Guardian, “though we’d prefer it didn’t happen.”"

What is it about? Left scientist wanting to freeze everything in place. Why wouldn't he want the moon hit by an asteroid? Who is going get hurt by it? Nobody.

What’s this “natural satellite” stuff?

Everybody knows the moon is hollow and was built by the reptilian aliens to serve as a monitoring station for their giant ant farm/gold mine here on Earth.

What if it changes the orbit? Tides will be altered. Women and minorities hit the hardest.

Ever looked at the impact craters on the moon? Lots of them.

From the article: "...the object measures approximately 150 meters in diameter—roughly the length of a football field."

Enter the casino of predictions and percentages at your risk.... Becasue "it is significant enough to cause noticeable effects..."

That tentative name doesn't show in a search, it's really 2024 YR4, a 3.8 percent chance, and btw a non-news source URL. The rest of the 2024YR4 keyword, sorted:

So in all probability, this object will not impact either Earth or the moon on it’s way by. But once it enters our gravitational system it’s future course will be unpredictably altered.

This reminds me of the story about the asteroid that smacked our plant 66 million years ago, creating the Chixulub Crater in the Gulf of Mexico. A similar event is bound to happen some day...

If it hit the Moon it would make the Moon heavier and it could crash into the Earth and WE ALL DIE \o/

That is completely unacceptable! I want a 100% chance of it hitting Washington DC.

Why on Earth is anyone Panican?

It’ll buff right out.

Residents of the Moon hit hardest —

Luna tics.
