A man who was arrested after leaving his children in a McDonald's to attend a job interview has received an outpouring of support from the general public.
Chris Louis, a 24-year-old father from Augusta, Georgia, took his 10-year old, 6-year old, and 1-year old children to a McDonald's with a playground close to where his job interview was on March 22, and left them for a short time so he could try to get employment, according to The Augusta Press.
A customer called the police, and Louis was arrested and charged with "deprivation of a minor." Now, his story has caught the attention of the public, including ex-NFL player Antonio Brown, who set up a GoFundMe to support Louis and his family.

Because if you approach a child not your own you will end up on a sexual predator list.
That is the reality of today. If you have kids of your own and they are with you and the group is playing together you probably are ok but if you are an adult by themselves you will be the one who ends up in trouble.
And if you are an adult male by yourself your life will be ruined.

I know what you are talking about, as I am near the middle of 9. We were all taught to look out for the younger ones.

He has no car. If it is a 25 minute walk to and from his apartment to the McDonalds and two minutes to the interview, opting for the McDonalds cuts the overall time alone significantly and gives him an ability to react in a reasonably timely manner that is absent if he opts to leave them at home.
If the 10 year old had the ability to call or text him I would give the Karen a talking to and leave the dude alone——he probably has more advice than he knows what to do with and if he is in the process of getting a job and doing a passable enough job on the kids, helicopter parents can suck eggs.

Was he right next door, though? If so, then arresting and charging him was an overreaction. It depends on how far away he went.
