Neat scramble. We’re supposed to go to granddaughters today for visit. The rain is currently falling but on radar appears to be about done . A large front moving north of us looks wicked
Norsky thanks for posting some smiles for us yesterday.
When is the approximate time frame to crossing the border?
Will you have internet available then?
Are you able to do much of that wonderful Asian cooking while camping?
Are you two deplorable ladies still in the hospital car?
Between health issues and weather it’s gotta be depressing
Many great articles! It was scary and at same time fascinating watching the various earthquake videos. Do you have many tall (and fragile) buildings where you live? In the ring of fire it’s not a matter “if we have an earthquake” but the reality is when, how often and how severe
The earthquakes I experienced in Oklahoma were fairly common but always small
All of Europe seems engulfed in the invasion - takeover by the undesirables
Wonder if they’re all at the point of no return?
Wonder if we are?
Despite all Trumps wonderful work there are so many fighting him every step of the way
Of course we expected it but still it’s hard to swallow
I think the tallest buildings here may be 10 floors, but maybe not even that tall. Out greatest danger are the rickety shanties jutting out over water.
Tombstone, directed by George P. Cosmatos and starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer, is one of the most celebrated Westerns of the 1990s, known for its gripping action, memorable performances, and historical authenticity.
The film centers around the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp (Russell) and his attempt to retire in the booming town of Tombstone, Arizona, only to find himself drawn into a violent confrontation with a ruthless gang called the Cowboys. His closest allies include his steadfast brothers, Virgil and Morgan, and his fiercely loyal friend, the sharp-witted and unpredictable Doc Holliday (Kilmer). The movie offers a powerful mix of gunfights, drama, and camaraderie, capturing the spirit of the Old West while staying true to historical events.
One of the film’s most famous sequences is the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, a dramatic and intense battle that showcases the unrelenting tension between law and lawlessness in the frontier town.
What sets Tombstone apart from other Westerns is the remarkable character depth and performances, particularly Val Kilmer’s portrayal of Doc Holliday. Kilmer delivers a scene-stealing performance, bringing both charm and tragedy to the role of the ailing yet deadly gunslinger. His iconic line, “I’m your huckleberry,” has become one of the most quoted phrases in film history.
Kurt Russell’s Wyatt Earp is equally compelling, portraying a man torn between his desire for peace and his inevitable call to justice. The dynamic between Earp and Holliday forms the emotional core of the film, creating a friendship that is both touching and brutally realistic.
Additionally, the film’s supporting cast, including Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, and Powers Boothe, adds richness and depth to the storytelling, making each character feel integral to the unfolding drama.
Visually, Tombstone is stunning, with breathtaking cinematography that captures the dusty landscapes and raw intensity of the Wild West. The film’s pacing is relentless, offering a series of high-stakes confrontations that keep audiences on edge. From its riveting shootouts to its emotionally charged moments of loss and redemption, Tombstone cements itself as one of the greatest modern Westerns.
The film’s legacy endures, not only because of its thrilling action and historical significance but also because of its strong character development and timeless themes of loyalty, justice, and revenge. Decades after its release, Tombstone remains a must-watch for fans of Westerns, standing as a testament to the enduring appeal of the genre.

I know Canada is per what my sister tells me.
Her and hubby went to their local mall the other day, they were the only non-Muslims, Muslims were shopping and working there.
She has 4 new Muslim families on her tiny street in a tiny town.
Scary really.

The 18 LAWS Of Discipline:
1. Never take a day off

The list starts off on a completely wrong idea.
It is imperative to Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.
Today’s culture has become very lax in the observation of our Day of Worship.
We are back home, we made a few dishes for friends, stir fry and a Japanese Curry. But we ate some awesome tacos and some excellent sea food while there. We didn’t really camp much, we have a travel van so that was pretty easy and cozy. Stayed at a trailer park. When the temp reached 100 we headed for the high country. Saw some very nice sights, took in Zion National Park, beautiful but crowded spot.
