One time, Pop Tarts were sold in a store here. We ex-pats bought them out within three or four hours. The store restocked and again were bought out.
Now, the store refuses to sell anymore. The reason given: they sold too fast.
I saw a pot tart recipe the other day. Didn’t save it as I’m not a fan. If I come across it again I’ll post it here

The final ingredient is bleached flour. I don’t know why they add this when the first ingredient is regular flour, but it is something that can used in laboratory experiments to cause the blood sugar in an animal to go up really fast. Like so much ultra processed food, poptarts are very delicious.
I am glad that our boxes at least have to list the ingredients and the “nutrition”. I find it much easier to resist something that is outrageous.

Very quiet day, as hubby had a gig in New Hampshire.
I did some housework as my back would allow
so kind of do little jobs, and then have to stop
for a little while.
Gathered up some clothes for charity.
Came across my sweet little purse collection
that I refuse to part with, for now...
I also gathered up some more books to give away...
It saddens me in some ways, but less stuff to
clutter up my house with, I guess!

We have massive Financial Deficits with China, the European Union, and many others. The only way this problem can be cured is with TARIFFS, which are now bringing Tens of Billions of Dollars into the U.S.A. They are already in effect, and a beautiful thing to behold. The Surplus with these Countries has grown during the “Presidency” of Sleepy Joe Biden. We are going to reverse it, and reverse it QUICKLY. Some day people will realize that Tariffs, for the United States of America, are a very beautiful thing!

Yet another child has been married because of Islamic laws that no one wishes to admit exist, much less counter in any way.
The BBC reported Tuesday that “an eight-year-old girl, who had been missing for six months, was found living with a man who said he was her husband.” This man, identified as Sheikh Mahmoud, “initially said he was solely teaching the girl the Quran. But after legal complaints were filed, he changed his statement, saying he had married the girl with her father’s consent.”
He did this based on Islamic law: “When asked by the BBC how he justified marrying an eight-year-old, Sheikh Mahmoud said that the traditions of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, along with that of the Shafi’i school of thought, allowed child marriage.” The BBC, as woke as ever, and thus determined to defend the image of Islam in every possible way, begged to differ: “After the BBC questioned his reasoning – citing opposition from numerous Somali Islamic scholars – Sheikh Mahmoud maintained that he would not abandon the marriage

Hi Dolly....
I’m fine. Just laying low these days, other than my X battles lol. Sick of the cold weather and can’t wait to get outside again.
My daughter-in-law told me yesterday that when she posted a pic of my little granddaughter (2 yrs.old) in her sweater, that she got a bunch of requests for little sweaters! So, seeing as I’ve been churning out kids sweaters with matching toques all winter, I might just sell them. She also requested a new sweater for Layne, and when I offered a matching one for her, she jumped at it. Lol I had to laugh, because the joke around here is that I make all of these sweaters and nobody wears them, except Audrey (the 10 year old). I made a really nice one and gave it to Ava the other day (the 15 year old). She said she didn’t really wear them, so I told her to give it to someone who might. So now I’m thrilled to make some sweaters for someone who likes them, or at least I can sell them.
Other than that, not much new. Dentist tomorrow (later today actually) to get a cleaning and look at a molar that lost a big chunk a little while ago. I can live with it as long as it doesn’t hurt, but it sure feels funny.
Hope you’re getting some nice weather, Dolly. Good to be outside again. And congrats on the running water! Every little thing that makes life better is a victory!
