Predicted rains again alluding us. Prediction holds through tomorrow - and I’ll be driving to Lake Norman for my Opthamologist appt for my new prescription. I’ll not take any highways. I don’t like to drive in heavy rains but don’t avoid when I have things planned

The food industry is surely going to be shaken up by RFKJr and a lot more people pissed off re: things they like being addressed. We all have our quirky likes and dislikes regarding food in addition to dietary restrictions

Grown Man Marries Eight-Year-Old Girl, Points to Islam as Justification

Yet another child has been married because of Islamic laws that no one wishes to admit exist, much less counter in any way.

The BBC reported Tuesday that “an eight-year-old girl, who had been missing for six months, was found living with a man who said he was her husband.” This man, identified as Sheikh Mahmoud, “initially said he was solely teaching the girl the Quran. But after legal complaints were filed, he changed his statement, saying he had married the girl with her father’s consent.”

He did this based on Islamic law: “When asked by the BBC how he justified marrying an eight-year-old, Sheikh Mahmoud said that the traditions of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, along with that of the Shafi’i school of thought, allowed child marriage.” The BBC, as woke as ever, and thus determined to defend the image of Islam in every possible way, begged to differ: “After the BBC questioned his reasoning – citing opposition from numerous Somali Islamic scholars – Sheikh Mahmoud maintained that he would not abandon the marriage

Hi Dolly....

I’m fine. Just laying low these days, other than my X battles lol. Sick of the cold weather and can’t wait to get outside again.

My daughter-in-law told me yesterday that when she posted a pic of my little granddaughter (2 yrs.old) in her sweater, that she got a bunch of requests for little sweaters! So, seeing as I’ve been churning out kids sweaters with matching toques all winter, I might just sell them. She also requested a new sweater for Layne, and when I offered a matching one for her, she jumped at it. Lol I had to laugh, because the joke around here is that I make all of these sweaters and nobody wears them, except Audrey (the 10 year old). I made a really nice one and gave it to Ava the other day (the 15 year old). She said she didn’t really wear them, so I told her to give it to someone who might. So now I’m thrilled to make some sweaters for someone who likes them, or at least I can sell them.

Other than that, not much new. Dentist tomorrow (later today actually) to get a cleaning and look at a molar that lost a big chunk a little while ago. I can live with it as long as it doesn’t hurt, but it sure feels funny.

Hope you’re getting some nice weather, Dolly. Good to be outside again. And congrats on the running water! Every little thing that makes life better is a victory!
