A pro-war Russian TV star has been killed on the front line just hours after sharing a social media post mocking Ukraine. Anna Prokofyeva, 35, died in the Demidovka border area of Belgorod, Russia, where Volodomyr Zelensky's forces have been making incursions.
Her death was reported by other Kremlin-backed war correspondents and later by the state-run TV station Channel One, where she worked. Just a day before, she said she was "somewhere on the border with country 404", a reference to a common web page error - suggesting she believed Ukraine was a country that does not exist. Multiple other Russian media outlets reported her death on Tuesday, and major pro-Kremlin channel NTV said a cameraman working with her was wounded and hospitalised.
Ms Prokofyeva is the third pro-war propagandist journalist to die in two days, with another seriously injured.
-snip-
Her channel said: “Channel One war correspondent Anna Prokofieva died in the line of duty. It happened in the Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine, where the Channel One film crew was blown up by an enemy mine. Cameraman Dmitry Volkov, who was with Anna, was wounded….

Death by mine... she did not die pretty. RIP.
As the old joke goes,
"Kill ten thousand men and one buxom, goregous woman! Why a buxom, gorgeous woman?
See. You've already forgotten about the ten thoudand men."
She died but she’s still around.
Could have been my mail order bride.
Is it still award season?
Anna Prokofyeva-404
Again that word “propaganda.”
What exactly does that mean to the average person and when is it applied?
Are stories and news outlets reporting about glorious counter offensives in 2023, the ghost of Kiev, battle for Snake Island, unwaivering Ukrainian resolve to fight Russia, and girls with blue and yellow ribbons in their hair holding a shotgun “propaganda?”
Putin killed her.
Taking selfies in battle camo does not a war fighter make.

According to the article, she is the THIRD such person to be killed on the front lines and I suspect none of them had basic training on what to do and not do in the field.
Yep... She’s still blowing up the Internet.
hey marcus, you get off on young women dying, huh?
Is that the stuff you look at online?
You sick ####. All you z guys are sickos :)
If it was a mine in Russian held territory, it was likely laid ages ago.
If it was in an area fully controlled by Russia, well... It happens. Russians dropped mines like confetti in the occupied areas earlier in this war. Ten times more likely to be a Russian mine than a Ukrainian one.
War isn’t a place for a propaganda visit. War is hell. No safe places in a was zone.
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco. There’s no fooling around.
Sounds like she was actually reporting from the front lines. Something most western “reporters” do from their desk.
“It happened in the Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine, where the Channel One film crew was blown up by an enemy mine.”
Mighty quick to identify that mine as Ukrainian. Odd that Ukrainians would mine the Russian side of an area Ukraine is making incursions into. Reporting that Russkiis planted the mine that killed her would be unpleasant.
You’re a sick, degenerate scum who glorifies in death. Log off.
