The mystery of an 'underground city' beneath Egypt's pyramid deepens as scientists have shared new details about what may lie more than 4,000 feet below the surface.
A team of Italian researchers claimed they uncovered giant vertical shafts wrapped in 'spiral staircases' and a massive limestone platform containing two enormous chambers with descending channels resembling pipelines.

While the bombshell claims have been dismissed by other experts as 'false' and 'exaggerated,' the team believes there is 'an entire hidden world of many structures' more than 2,000 feet below the water system
'When we magnify the images [in the future], we will reveal that beneath it lies what can only be described as a true underground city,' said Corrado Malanga from Italy's University of Pisa in a statement translated to English.
The scientists' work, which has not been peer-reviewed by independent researchers, has also suggested that 'the Pyramid of Khafre might conceal undiscovered secrets, notably the fabled Hall of Records.'
The Hall of Records is a legendary concept often linked to ancient Egyptian lore. It is believed to be a hidden chamber beneath the Great Pyramid or the Sphinx, containing vast amounts of lost wisdom and knowledge about the ancient civilization.

During the briefing, the team showed an image created by the pulses that captured the Khafre Pyramid on the surface along with the shafts.
The image also included 'a complex, luminous structure with distinct vibrations,' which they believe is 'an actual underground city.'

The only way to confirm, one way or another, is to drive a shaft. That's expensive, but at least they have an idea of where to dig, now. Another thing is that as the range decreases, detail is enhanced.

It’s not a religious thing. It is an ego thing. In no way are the prominent Egyptologists and establishment historians going to admit they might have been wrong. Their books will quit selling. Their lecture tours will stop. Their status will diminish. They will no longer be famous.
Is this similar to what the Rosicrucians believe?
Yes they are full of water now... But they obviously were not when they were built or how could they have been built? One could explain them off as just wells. But eight of them perfectly spaced apart under a pyramid? Why not just outside the pyramids if they are just functional wells? And with cubic room type structures at the bottom of them? Being just wells is not logical considering the circumstances.
Nothing like ufo and sasquatch sightings to bring in the tourist $$$. Dittos for this newly discovered -—”making the idea of an underground city ‘a huge exaggeration”-— not so newly discovered.

We've been taught that civilization spread from the fertile crescent out across Europe. The unexplained contradictions to that could be that Europeans repopulated places like Egypt after a thousand-year ice age caused by the eruption of Mount Toba.
