Every once in a while, through the winding supply chain systems that end in the items we buy for our homes and closets, a strangely specific motif emerges. There was a stretch a few years ago where I recall nearly every shelf of Home Goods and rack at Urban Outfitters had been slapped with a slew of owls: peering over sides of mugs, hooting out from T-shirts, welcoming you on cutesy doormats. Well, it seems the latest fad in this vein is: the mushroom. Specifically, a spotted, usually red and white variety.

The red spotted variety isn’t the best to eat (Amanita Muscaria).

Some day, someone is going to sue HomeGoods or another party for making these pretty but deadly mushrooms seem innocuous. Probably.
Humans are fools after all.
PS do not eat these pretty flowers.

Add Worcestershire sauce to your combo after the mushrooms have browned a bit. It will knock your socks off.

Oleander.
Do not nibble and if you burn the wood do not stand in the smoke. Especially do not eat anything cooked over the wood.

Thank you. I don’t think we have that in this neck of the woods.

I know a guy that claims he ate some, once. ( You challenge his credibility at your peril). He said it was the best time he ever had, until it turned into the worst time he ever had. Woke up on the mudflats. Oh I don't doubt him (or you); some people have survived it under favorable circumstances. But the typical reaction ranges from manifestly unpleasant to fatal.
There's a fine line between a good trip and a bad trip, and biological toxins are a risky way to tread that line.

That committee is real, in the decor industry they are called the Color Gods. I think they meet in an oddball location like Memphis and you can always tell what Pantone colors they have chosen for all the plastic tubs, towels, mat board, cabinet colors, dishes and decor and such because every ad in the Home and Garden Magazines will feature those colors.

I didn't go look but I figured they were Amanita Muscaria because it is popular. The history of this Fungi goes back thousands of years as a popular Hallucinogenic. While they are mildly poisonous, It is pretty rare if they are treated properly first. They taste so bad no one would want to keep it in their mouth very long by accident. There are however some other very poisonous species that look a lot like them.
They have been popular as a decoration and image included in classic works like Alice in wonderland, and the Super Mario game. And they are associated with Christmas and Easter. They are a part of religion around the world including Christianity. Truth is stranger than fiction about this fungi. I have studied it extensively and used it myself.
This is a ancient stained glass panel of Christ in a historic Church with four different types of "Magic Mushrooms" including Amanita Muscaria:
