In a piece titled 'Democrats Ought to Love DOGE,' the WSJ says Musk is accomplishing something nobody has ever pulled off.
"Elon Musk's glorious rampage through official Washington is like something from a dream. Many conservatives and some Republicans have fantasized for decades about laying off bureaucrats and shrinking the government. Nobody’s ever pulled it off," the opinion piece reads.
"Even Ronald Reagan, the great apostle of smaller government, couldn’t achieve in eight years what Mr. Musk has done in 3½ weeks."
"The billionaire businessman is less apostle than avenging angel. The Department of Government Efficiency is the change we’ve been waiting for."
This is personal from a friend with a son who has spina bifida. I assume this is due to the destruction of the Department of Education. There is no gas lighting here. The special needs kids are going to get kicked to the curb.

Month #2: Indictments
Attorneys Generals from 17 States are suing to get rid of Section 504 which protects disabled students from discrimination. I do not understand why my friend, who is conservative, but is very protective of his kids, blames Trump. The attorney generals are at fault here.
He is, of course, in one of the 17 states.
Reagan seldom vetoed any spending bills. Speaker O’Neill played Reagan like a puppet. Any simple search of government spending for each fiscal year will show federal spending TRIPLED during Reagan’s 8 years. That said Reagan was a likable president.
Reagan had a democrat house, under the estimable Thomas P. O’Neill, for the whole of his 8 years. He had a Republican Senate for 6 years, but they were fairly worthless under Bob Dole. And he didn’t have anyone of the ability of Elon. RR did pretty well, all things considered. But yes, Trump has already exceeded him.
And Reagan wasn’t Steele Dossiered..
Trump’s mandate comes from his own govt declaring war on him when he was still a private citizen coming down an escalator in 2015.
Hoax impeachments, Wuhan Coup Flu, stolen election added to the list of FAFO.
Trump has a mandate to obliterate the Deep State and drain a swamp.
A war that he has to end on his terms or we start killing each other if the Deep State and swamp FAFO and kill Trump on their terms.
The nation is on a warp speed because the govt FAFO started way back in 2015 on a private citizen who wasn’t a fan of the co owned Swamp D or Swamp R teams
RR had to deal with the Soviet Union.
Trump is now dealing with the Deep State.
We had to establish the Deep State to take on the Soviet Union. Eisenhower warned us about the MIC.
But we didn't transition to the world after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
We should have pulled out of NATO. And shrank the size of MIC.

They are 2 great men with some of the same and some different great qualities.
Maybe because he was such an inspiration in my youth, I idolize Him too much.

Why didn’t Trump do this in his first term?
Because he wasn't a corrupt career politician and had not yet learned how corrupt Washington was.
