Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has told members of the press that members of Congress should be focusing less on arresting and deporting illegal alien criminals and more on slavery reparations.
Johnson was asked on Thursday about whether he would he would honor an invitation to appear with a handful of U.S. mayors before the U.S. House Oversight Committee to testify about so-called “sanctuary cities” like Chicago, New York, Denver and Boston.
Rather than answering the question, Johnson chose to play the race card instead and went off on a diatribe about slavery, reparations and how the U.S. today represents “what our country would look like had the confederacy won.”

I really don’t believe these morons realize just how asinine they look when they spew this garbage. Reparations is NEVER going to happen, primarily because it could never be implemented in a just and fair manner, besides the bottom line cost.
It’s just dumb...somebody needs to tell them.
Trump’s America has no use for Reparations or free stuff for those who do not serve. Race means zip now. You get on board and pull your weight. No free rides for anyone. Even Trump has to work, no visits to the beach for him. America is a land of opportunity not free stuff. Try that in Mexico—you can’t. Its work or starve.
I grew up in the metro area of a city which had a mayor with a very illustrious public life and known for (among other things) the phrase ‘b*tch set me up.’ I sometimes miss him compared to some of these current big city mayors.
I remember Coleman Young in Detroit, proudly showing his latest “Fun Babies” at Press Conferences.
