I use my FR homepage as a scrapbook for things I find interesting online and might want to link to someday.
I stumbled across this gif a couple of weeks ago (I do not remember where) and uploaded it to Imgur.com and posted it on my homepage.
Yesterday I went looking for it on my homepage and discovered Imgur.com had deleted it.
Contrails are one of those things we are assured are a conspiracy theory and that contrails are always present from jets.
This gif shows that they can turn off the contrails at will and that they spray in a grid. Those grid clouds are not natural. They are a result of spraying in a controlled grid pattern.
The fact that this gif was deleted tells me that somebody does not want it posted. It will be interesting to see how long the new gif lasts.

Flying through an air pocket (for lack of a better term) and the con trails won’t form in the new condition.
Contrails will cut off when power is reduced, such as dropping in altitude approaching the airport.
The Gord is an illusion caused by high altitude prevailing winds. Planes fly in the same flight paths . When the trail forms the wind carries it several miles away from the ‘highway in the sky’ by the time the next plane comes along. Planes traveling perpendicular with the same trails also blow away from the flight lane giving the appearance of a grid.
Not sure why the gif would be removed butMy guess is that gif was copyrighted and not hiding some massive worldwide conspiracy of ‘chem trails’ that would require millions of aviation workers to keep quiet.
Is it possible that some of your "conspiracy theory" contrails are actually cloud seeding operations?

Show me where I wrote cloud seeding was a myth. I simply wrote that you are bog-ignorant of basic chemistry. The rest is a product of your fetid (and stunted) imagination.

Two days ago a jet flew over my land. Not overly high, clearly see from the ground 4 distinct contrails. It was a two engine plane and none of the 4 “contrails” lined up with an engine. I must be seeing things.
You refuse to acknowledge that the infamous "contrails" could be cloud seeding operations.
What is the provenance of that gif:
Where is the actual video?
What is the date and time of the clip?
Location from where the video is shot?
What, if any, modifications were made from the video to gif conversion?
The contrails are nothing but a byproduct of fuel being burnt. They are simply a cloud. I am a 747 captain and I can speak with certainty there is nothing more than a cloud being created by the jet. The two things that you need before a cloud can be formed are moisture in the air and compensation nuclei. The nuclei would be particulates from the jet fuel. It is the carbon is released in the air. If you happen to pass through an area with a lot of moisture the moisture will attach itself to the nuclei and form a cloud. If you ever notice a jet flying overhead and then suddenly start a contrail or stop one is because of the moisture in the air. It’s going into a dryer air mass or a wetter air mass. It forms a cloud albeit a very skinny narrow one. We do not have some sort of stupid switch to start releasing a contrail.

Now you’re making too much sense explaining contrails and the grid pattern. It seems many people are looking to find some grand conspiracy and won’t let anything interfere with their conclusions even as they are asking for explanations.
The funny thing is the military has done everything the can to ELIMINATE contrails.
Good description of the phenomenon. U2 pilots had an external rear view mirror so they. Could see if they were leaving a contrail. Not a good thing if you are flying a spy plane. It would be reasonable to assume knowing if ther was a contrail would enable them to take action to stop it, whether going to another altitude or whatever else could help

Could it be that the The gif shows a cloud seeding operation at the moment when the seeding apparatus was switched off before another grid pass?
Can you think of another reason why they would delete it?

But how is that graphic and your questions about cloud seeding relevant to the questions I asked? My guess is it’s because you don’t know the provenance of that clip. So you are either unable or unwilling to answer those questions.

As I said, I don’t really care about the clip. The fact that Imgur.com was threatened by it enough to delete it is what interests me.

It’s possible that you’ll see one cloud seeding flight.
And the other 100,000 are just flights.
