Flying through an air pocket (for lack of a better term) and the con trails won’t form in the new condition.
Contrails will cut off when power is reduced, such as dropping in altitude approaching the airport.
The Gord is an illusion caused by high altitude prevailing winds. Planes fly in the same flight paths . When the trail forms the wind carries it several miles away from the ‘highway in the sky’ by the time the next plane comes along. Planes traveling perpendicular with the same trails also blow away from the flight lane giving the appearance of a grid.
Not sure why the gif would be removed butMy guess is that gif was copyrighted and not hiding some massive worldwide conspiracy of ‘chem trails’ that would require millions of aviation workers to keep quiet.
