Teamsters Union President Sean O’Brien says the H-1B visa program “displaces” Americans from their jobs while allowing billionaires at the top of corporations to exploit foreign workers.
Amid debate regarding the H-1B visa program, which allows companies to import hundreds of thousands of foreign workers, primarily from India, to take white-collar American jobs, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) blasted the program as nothing more than an outsourcing scheme.

They started it sure but it has morphed and too many don’t see what it has become. In fact there are a few rat trolls here using it as a club.
The program isn’t the problem.
The Deep State that has abused it is the problem.
Case in point: Big Med.
For a variety of reasons, Deep State has done its damndest to ensure that there aren’t enough home grown doctors available in the US, especially for an aged and aging population.
It takes years to grow a doctor.
You gonna send home all the H1Bs Big Med has employed for peanuts while we grow more?
I think there a lot is issues being completely covered up by “H1B-visa , the best and the brightest - .01% - pick of the litter” talking point.
It’s been documented that many of these visa recipients aren’t they “best brightest”. They are brought in on entry level jobs while American IT grads are working at Geek Squad and Starbucks.
Isn’t the program supposed to hinge on a position where a company has a certain of criteria, they can’t find an American with those qualifications and they have to prove how the foreigner is the only one.
So bringing entry level code writers tosses it all down the drain, IMHO.
And for me, the Deep State is legit but it’s also a puppet to the Uber rich that control WallSt, who then have their hooks in everything.
For me, I see any and all things related to immigration, connected. Student visa, H1 visa, H2 visa, legal immigration. Illegals, refugees. All of it is destroying this country.
Think about it. LAPD has DACA people on its police department that can’t legally own a firearm. Chicago is going to be allowed to hire legal immigrants.
There are departments in Colorado(?) that hires immigrants because the locals has such a large foreign population that they need guys who speak the language.

The pro-H1-B crowd doesn't make great arguments for the program. When pushed they respond that the top people and innovators at SpaceX NASA, high tech companies, etc... are Americans and not H1-B visa holders. So why do we need the huge influx of H1-Bs if that is the case? Cheap high-tech labor which costs Americans jobs just like cheap low-skilled labor?
So why the need for a LARGE amount of H1-Bs then?

The article was about workers being displaced by H1B visa holders. Obviously undeniable as it’s common knowledge.
I added that the visa holders just don’t displace tech people and that the process has been abused for years.
I guess you weren’t one of the guys that used to work for Disney.
Being this desperate is not a good luck for a man.
Having been "displaced" and trained my Paki replacement once I'd say finally someone gets it. ABOUT TIME.
Only a complete myopic fool thinks the USA can’t produce very high quality engineers and scientists. All we need do is stop importing cheap laobr H-1B replacemnts from one county, heck from one city — Mumbai. None of that makes any sense.
