Teamsters Union President Sean O’Brien says the H-1B visa program “displaces” Americans from their jobs while allowing billionaires at the top of corporations to exploit foreign workers.
Amid debate regarding the H-1B visa program, which allows companies to import hundreds of thousands of foreign workers, primarily from India, to take white-collar American jobs, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) blasted the program as nothing more than an outsourcing scheme.

The Biden admin also gave a boost to H2B workers a few weeks thus screwing the Teamsters as well because they did not endorse them.

Obviously, you seem the type that is in love with Musk, Tesla, SpaceX. Maybe invested a little. Has a job that you won’t lose to a Paul, Mike, or John, all from India. A job you don’t have to train your replacements and sign an NDA to get your severance check.
Good point. The Teamsters can’t compete with WIPRO, HCL and Cognizant and how efficient they are at replacing full-time IT employees at a third of the hourly wage for said employment. They are really good at it when working together with Big Tech.

Saw the replacement traing going on first hand. Half the floor was "consultants" being trained by the full timers. There was a wall in the building between them. No one wanted to go up to that floor and become part of an incident.

How many American workers can design those technological marvels? We don't know because they are not allowed to because they are less willing to be exploited and cost too much. The nation be damned.
It shouldn’t go away. All of our problems need to see the light of day and encourage livly discussion. This all needs to be hammered out. I like Musk and Vivek but they are wrong on this issue. Not the end of the world here and they are still be brilliant people. But they are the ones that need to listen to the people and America fist crowd.

American engineers DO design these tech marvels at SpaceX.

They do and they are extremely well paid.
SpaceX gets the best engineers from American engineering schools and Musk has to pay them a lot to keep them.
The other space companies are constantly trying to steal SpaceX engineers cause they are so darn good and SpaceX simply dominates.
Just compare them to Boeing.
