When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.

"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

A casual friend texted me yesterday to ask if I was watching the inauguration activities. I said “Of course.” She commented how she’s looking forward to lower gas and food prices since that’s why she voted for PDJT. I left the conversation feeling deflated and even a bit annoyed because my sense is that she STILL doesn’t understand what was truly at stake.
Every move the team operating under Biden’s name made the last four years pushed everyone closer to one world government. Everyone here knows that the mechanics of that are (1) open borders (2) increased crime everywhere until it’s out of control (3) chaos and despair among Americans/citizens of whatever country you’re in, followed by a plea of (4) “Please make it stop”, and finally (5) UN security forces are invited in and become the de facto police, with all of the oppression that comes with that. Bye bye freedoms forever. In the case of the US, as it goes, so goes the world.
Even now, I don’t think some of my American friends understand what was truly at stake in the last election. It isn’t just lower gas and food prices. Their very way of life and Constitution has been at stake and it’s been frustrating for me that not enough people know that. Some voted for Trump because of the superficial benefits. I’m very happy about that, but I hope when the time is right that President Trump will address exactly what he saved everyone from so the people of the world never go back.

Does this casual friend know the intensity of your political leanings? Perhaps she does have deeper reasons for being happy with a Trump win, but she doesn’t know how receptive you would be to a discussion of them, so she went with the low hanging fruit.
You seem from what you have revealed about yourself on this thread to be a person who is definitely not living paycheck to paycheck, so I imagine most of the people you know and talk to are also pretty well off financially.
This woman might be thinking of people not as well off as herself financially and be happy they might get some relief soon at the grocery store. She may be thinking that people can’t really focus on some of the “higher level” things that a Trump win brings if they are focused on surviving.
I hate to go back to my aunt, but I could see her responding like this woman did to you about prices. She certainly knew bigger issues than rising prices were at stake if Kamala won, but she also was very worried about how she would be able to afford to live independently if prices kept going up and the stock market couldn’t provide the returns on her investments that it did.
I’m sure a lot of people, especially people who didn’t vote for Trump the first two times, voted for him in 2024 because their standard living went down. That may be the only thing they can focus on right now because they are living on the edge. Once they start to experiene some relief, they will be in a better frame of mind to understand and appreciate what Trump is doing in other areas.
