Well, sadly, it seems some people didn’t learn anything from that violent, deadly disaster.
Meet the “Tenacious Unicorn Ranch,” another Antifa-armed commune out in Custer County, Colorado, where queer and trans radicals tried—and miserably failed—to build their own Marxist utopia. Of course, right on cue, leftist media swooned, hailing it as a stunning and brave progressive safe haven. And while the left was busy congratulating themselves for their “brave” new utopia, the ranch was busy cashing in on phony “right-wing threat” stories and stunts. They squeezed every dime they could out of Patreon, GoFundMe, and PayPal. Nothing like a fake crisis to pad your wallet, right?
But it gets worse. In 2023, surprise surprise, the entire “utopia” charade crumbled. The commune turned out to be a filthy mess where animals and members both suffered. Even more disturbing is that reports of abuse surfaced, and one founder even confessed that up to fifty alpacas died under their watch. Turns out, no amount of radical ideology or crowdfunding dollars can turn incompetent jerks into a success.

Ain’t Communism wonderful.
Lefturd loons are incompetent. That is the reason they become lefturd loons.
So where’s that phony outfit ASPCA? About like NOW rushing out protesting men in women’s sports. They’re all FOS frauds and cons.
My son lives in Custer County (drop dead gorgeous views of the Sangre de Cristos) and was actually interviewed by some journo babe when they first started out there trying to dig up stories of them being persecuted by the local rednecks. He gently set her straight and explained they were welcomed with open arms but they were just plain weird and anti-social so everyone just left them alone. No surprise this didn’t end well.
So I guess it’s back to flower-arranging.
An alpaca-lypse.
That funny....my first laugh of the day. Thx
“How many times do these schemes need to collapse in chaos before the media stops romanticizing these socially awkward misfits? With abuse, neglect, and death as the final chapter, maybe this is the wake-up call to end these ridiculous and dangerous charades once and for all.” - from the article
Those of us who are old enough have been watching these cults and communes fail since the 60s. What will it take before the adults stop allowing these groups of oversized children to ruin lives, land and now animals?
This is why they can’t leave the city core they infested. They are incapable of creating anything or caring for themselves. Chances are the founders of this was raised in a very wealthy home by college professor parent types who all think their books on marxism really lead to utopia. A maid cleaned the house, Juan mowed the lawn, and the endless work of countless people kept their power and water running, sewer working, garbage collected, and grocery store filled. Why alpacas? Because they are a fashion pet and “cute.” What were they going to do with a herd of alpacas on a desert steppe in Colorado? Raise them for their wool? They can’t even care for themselves let alone an animal. Prosecute them all for cruelty and neglect.
Never had emu, but I have had Ostrich and it’s pretty good.
Those aren't smart, hard working farmers ... that's "Big Agro" poisoning the world with "GMO Frankenfoods".
I learned this on FR, so it must be true.
Reminds me of the stories of tech billionaires who want to buy and run wineries in the Napa area - they’re called “Fantasy Farms” in the area.
Takes a LOT of expertise and business acumen to enter the very competitive wine industry, with lots of unknowns such as crop failure, weather, market value, etc. Many have been run into the ground.
There is no such thing as a "transgendered" mammal. In mammals sex is binary and immutable.
It just is.
Prosecute them all for cruelty to animals. Probably too busy examining each others genitals to notice the animals were starving.
Could be the truth. So avoid the octopus at the Greek restaurant on
South Street in Philadelphia that I now, many years later, cannot
remember the name of…
The “Fruits and Nuts” Farm!
.
I am no expert on the subject, but in my humble, yet observant, opinion -
NO - Communism is anything but ‘wonderful’.
LOL...yep.
So I watched the whole video that accompanied the story on Revolver news. Confusing is all that I can say.
Communes at first sound great. I remember that scene from Easy Rider when our anti-heroes stumble upon a commune in New Mexico—dope was important and they were out sowing seeds on the bare ground like something would grow out in that part of the desert. The implication was that starvation was around the corner.
The book, Five Acres and Independence would have gone a long way to help those kids in New Mexico....
In Colorado—sounds like a cult of virtue signaling. Hey Look At Me! Hey—No One is Looking At Me=—Waaaah! Right Wing-—
Truly a mental illness
Just 30 something acres and they put some 220 alpacas on it, plus an unknown number of sheep and ducks. There is no way arid Colorado land like that could sustain so many grazing animals.
I bet the death toll of animals was a lot higher than just 50 alpacas.
I bet there was so much fighting and arguing and pettiness among the people that some days no one would go water and feed the animals at all.
