I actually had a guy from Paducah KY explain where it was: “it’s halfway between Monkey’s Eyebrow and Possum Trot”

Lynchburg (Moore County) is adjacent to my birth county, Lincoln County, and is the home of the Jack Daniels distillery.

Big fan of Copperhill, TN. Small, has a nice brewery (Buck Bald Brewing), only 4 miles from my place in N GA. YMMV

They left out South Pittsburg, TN, home of the Lodge Cast Iron Factory Store. Great place to get bargains on factory seconds of a reliable brand of cast iron cookware.

Look at this: An 8-inch "Jolene Dolly Parton" cast iron skillet:

While surfing between channels, I momentarily stopped on CNN. They were doing an interview regarding the Memphis police force which is, they said over 50% Black with a black chief. It focused on five black Memphis police officers who beat up on someone. They portrayed the officers as racist. So it must have been a white victim. < /sarc >

Seriously though, we have a great TV show that's been on PBS/NPT for decades now called Tennessee Crossroads that highlights cool stuff everywhere all over.

Tennessee's a great state even if we can't get Arkansas to take Memphis off our hands.

It’s about the Tyree Nichols beating:

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4126614/posts

Tyree was just some young black guy who moved to Memphis because his mom was here. He was a boxmaker at FedEx. I believe he needed to support his young daughter (I don’t know if he was a single dad). No criminal history.

The Cobra Unit which was set up to fight gangs pulled him over the beat the chit out of him for no good reason.

All the officers were black.

They outright murdered him on the streets, cracking his head open with a baton.

They’re on trial now.

Don’t forget the National Cornbread Festival, the last full weekend in April in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

What about Paris?

Paris is definitely a unique place. I stayed there back in the '80s and went to a bar. The drink of choice? Amaretto on the rocks.

Awesome surroundings, though.
