Protein has become a major focus in the American diet, and for good reason. Research shows that protein is essential for maintaining a healthy immune system, supporting weight management, and improving body composition. It's no wonder many of us are looking for ways to incorporate more healthy proteins into our daily meals.

Any kind of statin drug is far worse than any amount of cholesterol.

venison, like shark, is an incomplete protein and needs other dishes to make a complete protein - beans of any sort work well.

Red meat is better than white meat which is better than fish

Fish is not a meat, but in a different category altogether. Which is why so much spoils in seafood displays - fresh fish & shellfish is odorless - and must be completely covered in cold ice when on display, else the rot begins. Grocers do not understand this about fish, insisting on treating it as if it was cow, chicken, pig, despite the continued losses.

They won’t tell you that your brain is mostly cholesterol, and thrives on the stuff. They tried to get me on a statin. I said nope. I eat clean, avoiding sugar and processed foods. Wife and I are doing fine. She has had cholesterol level over 300 for most of her life. I have no idea what mine is. I refuse to get on any lifetime meds. No jabs either. Not saying all meds are bad, but just not for me. I hit the gym three times a week. At 67 I have never felt better.

What they’re calling “healthy” is entirely subjective and usually without a shred of medical or scientific proof.

Not sure but my RN wife always swears by it. It might be the enzymes used to produce it and I’m sure they are talking about the whole fat variety. Trader Joe’s has the best we’ve found stateside.

"Excessive cholesterol" is probably a reading over 300 for most people. The sweet spot for all cause mortality is 190-260. But doctors are trying to drive it under 200 for a slight reduction in strokes without looking at a much higher increase in cancer when cholesterol is low (below 190):

It’s hard to take advice on eating protein when the author doesn’t even know what proteins are.

Not suggesting to do without beef, it’s what’s for dinner. Just took two in for processing this week after being grained for about 100 days.

“Why ‘Greek’ yogurt?.................”

It’s strained (concentrated) and offers 20g of protein in 2/3 cup. Along with a full day’s calcium. And other good stuff.

I eat it plain...and often.

I have a dairy sensitivity, so phooey to this list!

I hope that Trump can lower the price of beef, and even of chicken, turkey, and pork!

If this doesn’t have beef at the top of the list, it is full of crap. And pork isn’t on there? Beyond bacon, pork is pretty lean.
