Fifty years after Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald, one of Ruby's good friends is talking publicly for the first time.
Oklahoma City resident Mary Gray McCoy visited her friend, Ruby, in jail about a week after Oswald was shot. She continued to visit him until a few days before his mysterious death.
When President Kennedy was making his way through the streets of downtown Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, McCoy was busy working at a hotel across the street from one of Ruby's nightclubs.
"I don't know just what they did in there," McCoy said. "They had entertainers, dancers. I was never in the club."
Now at the age of 100, with a strong long-term memory, McCoy is finally telling her story.
"[Ruby] never cracked a smile," said McCoy. "He was all business."
Several times a week, Ruby would stop by McCoy's hotel to break change after regular banking hours. McCoy says that's how she met the would-be killer.

Ruby’s nephew was my friend’s Dad. He lived with Jack as a kid (son of Ruby’s sister). He’s mentioned in the Warren Commission report. Their family had some of his belongings back when I knew them including a hand gun - not the one that he used to kill Oswald.
I’m just grateful that Governor and Mrs. Connally were okay.
Are you saying an American Jew killed Oswald on orders from the Israeli government?

I respect your opinion but I disagree. At this point, some 61 years after the event, I don’t think any further disclosure will matter one way or another. No matter what is said, many will say it’s a biased report, meant to shield certain parties.
Today’s trust in Media is only about 25% of what it was back then, when newspapers and anchormen were trusted at face value. That being said, the speculation of what was and what could now have been will continue forevermore. This has become a part of American Folklore, as with the sinking of the Titanic, something still discussed even today.
It is folklore, but there was no mystery about how the Titanic sank, while here there certainly is mind boggling mystery.
JFK wanted no nuclear proliferation.
Israel needed the nuclear bomb—critical for their national security.
With eight years of JFK and eight years of Bobby Israel could have been in the nuclear wilderness for more than another twelve years.
They definitely had the motive—and there is strong evidence they were working with Counterintelligence Chief James Jesus Angleton.
(LBJ reversed the nonproliferation position for Israel once he took office. John McCone identified that as his reason for resigning from the CIA.)
Imho this is why the full JFK files can never be released.
It would cause both domestic and international chaos.
Another tidbit not in the article—Ruby was told (by mob contacts) that LBJ would pardon him if he killed Oswald.
That is why Ruby kept trying to contact LBJ.
They lied to Ruby of course.
