Donald Trump Is Already Starting to Fail

Donald Trump is planting the seeds of his own political demise. The corrupt, incompetent and extremist men and women he’s appointing to many of the most critical posts in his cabinet are direct threats to the well-being of the country, but they’re also political threats to Trump and to his populist allies.
To understand why, it’s important to remember a cardinal reality about Trump’s political career. He has now won two general elections when he was the only alternative to an unsatisfactory status quo, and he lost the one when he was the unsatisfactory status quo. If he can’t govern well, his populist partisan realignment will come apart before it can truly begin.
One of the most maddening aspects of the 2024 election is the extent to which so many voters viewed Trump as a mostly normal political candidate. MAGA Republicans see Trump as a singular figure, but an immense number of voters thought the talk about Trump
was overheated, in both directions.
If you’re like most Americans and don’t follow the news closely, it’s easy to see why you would see Trump in more conventional terms.
A Politico analysis of the Trump campaign’s ads showed that “the single most-aired ad from his campaign since the start of October is all about inflation, Medicare and Social Security — arguing that” Kamala Harris “will make seniors already struggling with high prices ‘pay more Social Security taxes,’ while unauthorized’ immigrants receive benefits.”
That is a normal, conventional political message. Trump’s ads attacking Harris’s
past support for taxpayer-funded transition surgery for people in prison and immigration detention were also an appeal to the mainstream, an effort to label Harris as extreme.

47’s appointees are “corrupt” says the dickhead writer. But not the media nor the deep state, no.

The problem is Biden really really screwed things up…. Almost by default things will improve. Its inevitable Trumps policies will speed up the renovation of America. This guy is grasping.

Oh, okay, David. We still don’t think you are credible. Give up.

For the NYT to declare the Obama regime and the Biden regime as UNSATIFACTORY is quite a bombshell.
Not surprising for the NYT to do so with Trump as they disdained him from the beginning.

So sez the NeverTrump French.
Why should we believe what he writes?

I believe it is important for us to hear what the other side is saying. Otherwise, we become an ‘echo chamber’ as the other side has become.

NYC has made themselves my least favorite place in the USA.
Between their show-trials, crime, leftist media etc. I wonder how many good people are living there?

..he lost the one when he was the unsatisfactory status quo David, you ignorant wretch. Still asking, "where'd the extra 20 million votes from 2020 go in 2024?"
Trump won 2020. He had thousands at his rallies. Pedo joe had dozens.

“”””Anyone have an idea how much of FR is leftist talking points posts and how much is pro conservative stuff?”””
No, but you are invited to make such a study of say one weeks worth of posting on FR and then tell us the results.
I am guessing you will find that about 40% is leftist talking points and 50% is conservative stuff and 10% is apolitical.
Just my guesses but I would welcome some exact study. It would not be all that difficult.

French has upped his game moving from crapping in the National Review cesspool to going mainstream leftist and crapping in the national swamp.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Well, I'm not sure that French isn't this stupid, but I am entirely sure that his editors at the Slimes are, as are the readers,
The corrupt, incompetent and extremist men and women he’s appointing to many of the most critical posts in his cabinet are direct threats to the well-being of the country, but they’re also political threats to Trump and to his populist allies.
It's precisely the opposite of 2017: then Trump appointed, at the insistence of an antagonistic allied Republican party, insidious players, as well as to oppose him at every step.
No, French, it's the opposite now, and so with your lies.

“They are going to push this narrative hard, along with blaming everything negative in the country on Trump, in the hopes of thwarting his agenda and flipping Congress in 2026. It is going to take every ounce of self-control to not go postal on the left”
Bears repeating! Guaranteed they are going to start talking about all of the homeless folks and others living in their cars across our beloved country let alone all of the “recent arrivals” & the woe they will suffer when 47 takes office. I hope 47 can start talking about the horrific homeless problem he will be forced to encounter & solve because of the Biden/ Harris clown car Admin.
